    1. Grrifith is a shock jock so her antics are always obnoxious. She could have held up an effigy of anyone.
    2. It's also not automatically true that one would face no reprisal for doing the same thing with an effigy of Biden or anyone else.

She should claim political asylum in the US. They are in violation of her human rights and the right to opinions, beliefs, and speach.

This is very much as if you decided to show up at a meeting of the National Geographic Society with your speech claiming the Earth is flat.

No it is Not as I have explained repeatedly, when you register as a nurse, doctor or other health professional you sign an agreement to abide a “Code of Conduct” she breached that code

It would be the same I suspect in the USA

The above post is so incredibly ignorant.

This is the pamphlet that line was used for.

Are you seriously saying that all the Socialists on this forum should be thrown in jail?

Do you really want to support the court which supported forced eugenics?

For giving good advice instead of sticking to orders not based in science.

    Your company does?
    Your direct supervisor does?
    Your spouse (if married) does?
    Your kid(s), if any, does?

This nurse might have been assigned to inject the vaccine. Would anyone have trusted her to carry out her job. How about if a nurse is against all vaccinations? Should she be given special dispensation to not be required to do her job?

That is irrelevant. If she is not able or willing to carry out the duties as assigned for her position, she should be terminated. That's what a job is - somebody pays you to do something and you agree to do it.

However, OUTSIDE her role as a licensed RN, she is entitled to have whatever opinion she wants to have and the right to say it in her person life on her person time.

Beyond all of the above, do you honestly believe that a person planning to cause harm would want publicity and public scrutiny? That's not how malcontents operate.

And some Democrats here want to see to it you're denied the means to exist if you don't cheerfully submit to "voluntary" mandates....

    Retired.
    No.
    No.

Who could trust a nurse who espoused such views which conflict with accepted professional standards?
Should the clients of this nurse have to assess her professional standards before she attends them?
Alternative medicine is a frequent point of contention.

Houston Methodist Hospital in Texas has suspended privileges for an ear, nose and throat doctor after she tweeted several opinions on COVID-19 vaccines, including advising patients from getting it.
A hospital representative confirmed the suspension of Dr. Mary Talley Bowden to the Washington Post. Houston Methodist said Bowden was "spreading dangerous misinformation which is not based in science."

Texas doctor suspended for 'spreading dangerous misinformation' on COVID-19 (fox40.com) November 15, 2021, Russell Falcon

She was fired from the hospital in the US because of comments she made on Twitter.
In the state of Texas, no less.

Of course not; however, we don't know the personal beliefs of anybody that provides us service.

Don't care if she is. It's not a crime to have a different opinion. If they feel she can't do the job, it's their business if they want to fire her. If they want to throw her in jail for her opinion, that's another matter.

About her being criminally prosecuted, I have my doubts. About the Nursing Licensing authority there cancelling her license, good riddance. Someone who actively advocates for patients not to wear masks, not to social distance, and not to get vaccinated, saying that the vaccine intends to kill you and the pandemic doesn't exist, has no business being a nurse. I wouldn't want a crazy conspiracy theorist who doesn't believe in science being my nurse, if I ever needed nursing services.

You are, by the way, distorting what your own link says. Taking away her license wasn't just for having assembled. It was for her professional misconduct of misinforming the public, mostly.

It should be her right. It appears she was not advocating this in her place of employment. She was fired for advocating it on the internet, which was done during her free time.

    More "thought control".

And supposedly there is a nursing shortage going on, while at the same time nurses are being fired from hospitals, while this nurse in question is being prohibited by her state government from working as a nurse.

Big difference (not!). Do people still think that when they identify themselves as a professional in social media, what they say cannot be held against them by the licensing organizations and employers? How naïve... If you say something in the Internet, it's in public domain forever. People should think twice before they post nonsense, in non-anonymous platforms like Facebook and Twitter (and in certain criminal cases, even in anonymous ones, because the web host can be subpoenaed for the person's IP).

There are numerous cases of lost employment due to conduct elsewhere that is not consistent with the values of the employer, and the courts side with the employer in this case, because professional decorum is a condition of employment.

Yes, she has the right to do it. But, the employer has the right to fire her, and the licensing organization has the right to cancel her license. Her choice was to engage in this conduct. Choices have consequences.

Yes, it is naive of me to think people like you care about rights and freedom.
