They continuously attack civilians, and the MSM says nothing about it. I believe the snipers were trained by Americans recently. I recall reading that whenever the OSCE came, they wouldn't shell so they couldn't be reported, and when they left the shelling would start again.

When the Donbas militia fights back, they kill soldiers - and quite a few of them. Hopefully they're nationalists from the West, and not the conscripts that Poroshenko would like to have killed, since they're either Russians or Hungarians from other parts of Ukraine.

Russia has finally decided to simplify the method of giving Russian passports to people in the Donbas Republics, and of course Ukraine is screaming to high heaven - and yet the Hungarians, Poles and Romanians gave passports and they could care less. I guess when it's Russians it's a different story.

Population of Ukraine in the late 80s was about 51 million people, now it's about 41 million. Minus 20%. Incomparable to Russia.
Today the most popular countries for emigration are Poland, Czech Rep., Germany, Russia. Ukrainians move even to Belarus.

Gallacia was very anti Russia - probably from their Austria/Hungary days. When Yanukovich realized he couldn't join the EU, and that the loss of trade with Russia would amount to hundreds of billions of dollars, Gallacia wanted to leave Ukraine. Nuland convinced them not to, and that they'll change the situation.

When there was talk of making Ukraine it's own country in the 19th century, the Tsar said it would never work if it included the Gallacians, so of course Washington put them in charge. In WWII the Gallacians joined the Nazis and committed unbelievable atrocities against the Poles to get them to leave. That they're tolerated by Poland is either because they have dreams of either repossessing Lviv and the other lands they took, or getting some restitution for what they stole.

This map shows things a little bit differently.

You "believe" the snipers were trained by Americans? A few postings back they were Georgian " Mercs" looking to get paid. Next it'll be German Intelligence from Pullach.....after that maybe the Gambino mob, or ex NFLers turned gangsters?

You "recall" reading? Like what? Where? Brick shithouse wall?

What Donbass militia? It's moskali regular army.

How many Russki regulars have been killed so far Jenny.....I "read" upwards of 25K?

Where's the videos of the riots and refugees?

Sure....after the illegally annexation, ongoing war.
Bring back the expats....and you're looking at over45-47 mln.

What about the exodus of the vatniks? At the current rate ...in 10-15 yrs, Londongrad can probably claim statehood with about 4-5 mln.

The main source of emigration is western Ukraine, where was no war. Moving to Poland is a dream for all locals.

And this was from 2018 Kiev's post:

More than 2 million Ukrainians working in Poland, says Polish-Ukrainian Economic Chamber
I read that 5 million Ukrainians have left, most I believe for Russia, but I have a suspicion it might have been planned that way. By ethnically cleansing Ukraine, everything could be bought up cheaply by the oligarchs and then sold to multi nationals such as Monsanto, so they could make a killing.

Of course, no different. Doesn't matter wether you 're Russian or Ukrainian, if you are unlucky to live in the modern Ukraine. No jobs, no salaries, no future. Only work for foreign employer.

Since there are so many Ukrainians in Poland from the area that was once part of Poland before the USSR, and since Poland needs these workers, maybe they should redraw the territorial lines? I'm sure getting back Lviv would make Poland very, very happy.

Vladimir Putin gave Poroshenko once a working form on how to federate Ukraine so that it would stay intact. Poroshenko's brilliant response: "We do not take suggestions from Russia". Does he really care whether it stayed intact or not?

I read Poroshenko's wealth has grown an enormous amount since taking office. So much for corruption before Maidan. What they did was change from one mafia group to another.

At least Yanukovich was elected, and showed that he cared enough for Ukraine that he wouldn't put the people in billions of dollars debt to the IMF.

Lvov was the third city in Poland. Like Chicago in the USA, Munchen in Germany, Lyon in France.
Poles would be happy to take it back. And what is worse for Ukraine, the residents of Lvov maybe would be happy even more than Poles...

another failed attempt by a Russian troll to claim that just because people in a region speak some foreign language then they will always want to reunite with the country that has that language as native.
If that were true then the USA, Canada and Australia would want to be annexed by the UK, and all Latinos in the US would want to be annexed by Spain.

See how obtuse the argument is?

    No, I don't see.
What Crimea people wanted to reunite with Russia is just a simple fact. Even the most obtuse Russia haters admit it.

The city is considered a gem since it wasn't bombed in WWII, probably because the Ukrainian Nazis took control and killed off all the Polish and Jewish inhabitants.

I read an article by a Jewish visitor to Lviv, and he said he felt very uncomfortable. There was no memorial to the dead, and even copies of Mein Kampf being sold in the book stores.

I was in Lvov twice last year. Nice city, nice people. But I didn't look for books in their book stores, actually.

I think China would be happy to take back Vladivostok....in fact all of Siberia, Crimea , back to turkey, northern Russia to Lithuania.....looks like Russia is a fake state at this point.

    At which point?
Japan wants to take our islands, but who would allow them to do that? Let them to want as much as they want to want, who cares.

Lviv is somewhat germanized when it was under Austria....more western than the barbaric Donetsk.

There were displaced "refugees" from Donetsk not long ago....loud, brash, almost barbaric, shouting we want Russki language.

They were tamed...and that "Russian" was removed outta them slowly.....they're much more acculturation now.

Maybe you should attempt to read and learn. The Russian people in Donetsk and Luhansk want their own country status.....they don't want to be annexed by Russia....hello hello, figure it out.

I was referring to China....they could probably do it in a cakewalk....Russki military would be no match for them.

Japs sunk your navy once in 1905....is Russki up for more embarrassment?

Do you wanna say there were people from Eastern Ukraine - refugees, Ukrainian citizens - who were "barbaric" and then "tamed"? What an attitude to compatriots? Why are you surprised that those people are not happy in Ukraine?
But actually, you are a liar. I heard Russian speech many times in Lvov. And I myself spoke Russian, of course.
