Vlad the Invader began laying the groundwork for his Anschluss campaign in Ukraine in 2008, after the Ukrainians threatened to terminate Russia's lease on the naval facilities in Sevastopol in 2017. That was the year he started handing out Russian passports in Ukraine, which was the same thing he did 6 years prior to the Russian invasion of Georgia which also happened to occur in 2008.

And what do these two invasions have in common? If you guessed "securing a base for the Black Sea Fleet" you would be right.

The revolution/protests in 2014 were nothing more than a convenient pretext and golden opportunity for Putin to invade Ukraine and begin dismembering and annexing its territory, most importantly the Crimean peninsula and the Black Sea Fleet's base in Sevastopol.

We can debate the legality and legitimacy of Russia's annexation/reacquisition of the Crimean peninsula but what cannot be debated is the fact that the propaganda the Kremlin used to "legitimize" its violation of Ukraine's sovereignty and territory was pure unadulterated bullshit, just like the propaganda the Kremlin used to "legitimize" its violation of Georgia's sovereignty and territory.

As for the Ukrainians, they are in a much better position than they were when Putler had his b*tch Obama in the White House to push around and I support Trump's decision to fulfill the commitments we made to Ukraine in the Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances and, yes, that includes the approval of arms sales to Kiev. Unlike the spineless doormat who preceded him, Trump understands that the only language bullies and thugs like Vlad the Invader understand and respect is strength/force. If you want to check the ambitions of kleptocratic revanchist warmonger you have to send his soldiers back to him in body bags - wagging your finger at him and slapping him on the wrist with sanctions isn't going to focus his attention, much less affect his behavior.

Indeed, and in light of Stalin's dalliance with Hitler - which cost Poland its existence - the Russians have got nothing to bark at the Ukrainians about, especially after Stalin & Co. murdered and starved millions of Ukrainians during the Holodomor - one of the greatest atrocities of the atrocity-ridden 20th Century.

oh, I forgot to mention that from 1939 to 1941, Soviets were defending the Nazis and said the germans had the right to reassert themselves

    Well .....
    ... I rest my case.

The dumbed-down American population isn't a mystery with so much misinformation, disinformation, propaganda and the worst censorship in any western nation. But dumbed-down is just another expression for ignorance which is nothing to be ashamed of. If you don't know you cannot be expected to understand. Education is the problem and the U.S. is in a terrible shortage of it. Sure they have schools but the standard is intentionally so low so that the population is kept in the dark about most of the important matters of life, comprehension being one of them. Comparing a dead government (such as the Soviet Union) with real-time government (such as the U.S. today) is apples and pears.

And then there is this matter > > >

The message here is what ....... that a nation with WMD's ought to have imploded rather than negotiate peace? That is dumbed-down logic in the extreme.

These atrocities are occurring because we are giving support to the worse elements in Ukraine. For example the mafia criminals who think only of their pockets and what they can grab, and the Nazis who hate the Russians and want to take over their lands.

These Ukrainians were under Poland originally rather than Russia and were put under the Pope. They also fell under the influence of the staunchly Catholic Austrian/Hungarian Empire. They feared Orthodox Russia, and had contempt for anyone whose standards didn't conform to their own.

The result of course is that they are culturally alien to the Russian half of the country, and it's being manipulated by Nuland and Co. When Lviv wanted to split from Ukraine after Yanukovich backed off from joining the EU, she told them not to and to have a coup. She even chose their president.

Back to the subject, and what you will not read in the MSM:

Over the past 24 hours, Kiev military forces violated the ceasefire three times, with a total of 80 heavy shells raining upon the LPR.

“By order of the war criminals, the commanders of the 10th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine ‘Zubanich’ and 72nd ‘Tatus’ attacked the Zolotoe 5 and Logvinovo settlements. They were subjected to shelling 120 and 82 mm mortars, infantry weapons, various grenade launchers and systems which are prohibited by the Minsk agreements."

And who said they want to go back? What, so they could face a firing squad for disobeying orders? The sailors were told to shoot at the Russians, that way they would end up at the bottom of the sea, and become the martyrs Poroshenko needed to further his agenda..

I doubt the true #s of casualties will ever be revealed whether Syria, or East ukraine...Putinka can't have mothers/wives, general population protesting in the streets....it could have devastating consequences.
These "losses", and the grieving parties are paid off/threatened into silence.

LOL.....Catholics never really fear the backward orthodox, or "pravoslanekeh", theyre the largest religion and richest.

Difference between Catholics and orthodoxO is the Catholics evolved moved on and are civilized....the orthodox "pravoslanekeh", 300 yrs ago wiped your backsides with tree bark and dry leaves, 300 yrs later to this day, continue to do the same.....some things never change, lol.

The only alien culture, are the vatniks in the East....they still wave around the old Soviet flag, and fantasize about Beria&Kaganovich.....:roflol:

Oh lawdy. You're seriously sitting there and blaming Poland and Nuland when Ukraine was in the USSR for how many long decades and is now still under the thumb of Russia thanks to dependence on Russian gas imports and pipeline transport income. Oh, and of course working in your deranged rantings about religion, as if they actually affected national politics so significantly.

Incidentally, FYI, Orthodoxy is far more prevalent in Ukraine than Catholicism. Unlike you, I've been there and seen it. Wiki has my back, too. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in_Ukraine

But the Anglo/Saxon Protestants said they were more civilized and the Catholics were 'orientals'.

Then you always had toilet paper, I didn't know that? How about philosophers, do you have those too?

What everyone should concern himself with today (a time when everyone in all religions has 'toilet paper', etc.) is the military technologies at the disposal of potential belligerents in any particular theater of possible conflict.

In, or near, the Sea of Azov, it would be HIGHLY unwise of anyone to challenge the power and determination of the Russian Federation.

Hint: Khrushchev 'blinked' during the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962. Vladimir Putin, however, will not (NOT) 'blink' during any crisis that arises in the Sea of Azov or the Kerch Strait.

Firepower won't win a war. Especially not for Russia.

You don't seem to "get it"--no one likes Russia.

Genie to Pole: "I hereby grant you three wishes. Use them wisely."

Pole: "Thank you, I know exactly what I want--three wars between Belarus and China. Each war starts with a battle in Bejing, rages across the land all the way to Minsk, and then back to Bejing."

Genie: "Three wars? Why so many? You're using up all your wishes."

Pole: "Oh, that's okay. It's worth it. I figure the war will go through Moscow six times."

Ukraine wants to be part of the EU.

Putin promised not to cut off the gas, but with Poroshenko's war mongering he might be forced to do so then they won't be under Moscow's thumb. They can get their gas then from the US.

Oh that's right I forgot, the American companies over extended themselves with contracts in the Far East, and now we have to import from Russia. Oh well, Ukraine can always buy Russian LNG gas from the US. I'm sure the US will sell it to them nice and cheap.

Go tell that to Poroshenko and Biden, who pressured the Patriarch in Constantinople to give independence to the Ukrainian church. Anyway I was talking about the cultural animosities and distrust that has been embedded in their DNA from centuries.

Let me explain. When the area now known as Ukraine was under the Polish/Lithuanian Empire, the Catholic bishops wanted to put the Orthodox under the Pope so half the country pulled away from Poland and went under the Tsar. Gallacia stayed with Poland and went under the Pope, but they follow the Orthodox rite not the Latin rite. Since their priests married, they were treated badly by the Latin Catholics in Poland and also by the Orthodox for being under the Pope. As a reaction they hate and killed everyone: Poles, Jews, Armenians, Russians, etc. This is why I call Gallacia Naziland.

Unlike the wealthy Donbass, Galacia is a very poor area, so they blame the Russians. To raise their self esteem, they want to ethnically cleanse them and steal their lands like they stole Gallicia from the Poles in WWII.

I read the Poles are the most hated people in the Baltics.

As for the EU, Galatia is not all of Ukraine. Actually it's a very small part of the country. There is the persecuted majority Russians in the south and east who want to be with Russia. There are the persecuted Hungarians who want to be with Hungary. There are the Romanians who want to be with Romania. There are the persecuted Russyns who want to be with Hungary, and there are the persecuted Greeks in the south and east who want to be with Russia. As for the Tatars, they want to be with Turkey by having it take Crimea.

Actually that's another lie we've been fed. We had just put missiles in Turkey, and Khruschev backed down only after Kennedy promised to remove them. Frankly I think anyone that 'tests' Russia, has to be complete idiots.
