University education is free to Scottish students in Scotland. By free, I mean paid for by taxes. No doubt it would be considered an affront to the EU, that there is no conformity in how this is run.

No, though it is free to other EU students who study there because that's EU rules. The EU doesn't apply those rules to English students studying in Scotland because it feels that's a "domestic" issue. EU students are supposed to pay back their loans, but in reality often don't because they don't reach the earnings threshold, especially those from Eastern Europe.

Ah yes, good education so you can pay enough tax to sustain a multicultural state. but if there to many immigrants who in general contribute nothing ( not talking about EU immigrants) the system will not be able to sustain itself.
