Point being that Trump is no worse than Obama was.

People who blame Bush, Obama or Trump for government overspending amuse me.
You want to know who is guilty? People in congress and senate. Why no one holds those accountable for sneaking in pork into spending bills? Can a POTUS pass a budget bill?
Last year congress and senate passed overwhelmingly a Russian sanctions bill and made trump sign it, even though he was making a face of a 5th grader and made sure everyone knows he didn’t want to do it. Congress can make the POTUS to do anything it wants. Call you reps and senators, don’t blame someone who doesn’t really have much to do about the issue.

What is their recourse if POTUS vetoes a bill? They don't have enough to override.

They had enough for Russian sanctions. Maybe they should do their jobs and do real negotiations instead of putting partisan politics in the priority list?

It's all really such a joke though and a good example of the corruption that has infiltrated not only the government but "We the People" are at the very least buying their BS.

You can go back and find hundreds of these post from Right Wing people from 2008 to 2016, then like magic .... it stopped.

Now of course, Democrats were dead silent on the issue until like magic, in November of 2016 it became an intensely serious issue!!!

You all should be ashamed of yourself, using something this serious as a political chip and meanwhile, completely ignoring the roadblocking you take part in to solve the problem.

The Left refuses to touch a dime in welfare, the Right refuses to touch a dime in military.

Good ole Trump, "The only one who can do it." The claim itself should have been enough to convince anyone with a fiber of moral content or a brain, that Trump was a VERY BAD CHOICE. I am forever amazed that those who still support this derelict of a President, can find fault with everyone around them except Trump himself, where faults of many flavors find comfort & sustained residence.

Defense is just 19% of the federal budget.

I'll go along with a 25% cut in defense spending if you agree to cut the other 81% of the budget by 25%.
