First of all, the US threats not to impose sanctions against us, but punitative tariffs, what is something different... aside fact that they are also rediculous in their own.

And yes ... my country followed the US in the past about sanctions towards others ... but this happened mostly at a time where there was a West and East Germany existing = before reunification and getting back full sovereignity.
And even after this we followed sometimes or we do it together with the EU like in issue with Russia ... but there is a clear difference to the US sanctions towards Iran now:

Did we / the EU threat others if they do not follow, they will get consequences and sanctions ... for example China? No!

I'm glad you can recognize your homophobia.

Don't tell it to me, go tell it to Maas and his disciples.

    My homophobia ... ROFL.

We can talk again in the future ... because if your impudent idiot in the US Embassy in Berlin continues to do so, then that will be a more permanent topic and eventually he can then make his return flight to the US.
Or maybe we should do the same via our ambassador in Washington to US companies? If you think you have the right to do that, then we have that, eh?

Do whatever you want. Every 50-75 years or so this is what Germany does.

    We're used to it.

History does not seem to be your strength as far as the information is concerned. But no matter ... I know where it comes from!

    Mmmh ...

Since WW-2 Germany entered only 2 wars at the request of the USA as the ally of the USA in the framework of NATO, Kosovo and Afghanistan!
WW-2 is in May this year 74 years ago ... so over 70 years you named!
Between beginning of WW-2 in 1939 and end of WW-1 in 1918 were 21 years ... so far under your named 50 years
Between beginning of WW1-1 in 1914 and last German war before in 1871 were 43 years ... again under your named 50 years!

And before 1871 was simply no Germany as state and country existing ...

So from which history it is coming again?

Oh I'm sorry. 74 years and 43 years and 25 years. I stand corrected on my original "50-75 years or so".

I should have said "25-75 years or so".

    Really?
    - War of 1870/1871 was declared by France on "German States", lost by France and result was a united Germany. Guilt of Germany? 0.00
    - WW-1 ended with German defeat and even all facts show that Germany had no alone guilty, the Versaille Treaty declred it. Many persons at the allies told that this would led to a next war by acting this way towards Germany, including your President Wilson did it ... and they had right, eh?
    - WW-2 without any doubt full German guilt ... but with view on Versaille Treaty above, well....

And your country? Sure, never defeated so far like we were, but your 242 years f history are full of crimes, hypocrisy, arrogance and ignorance. There you do not even have any right to approach us Germans in any form as moral apostles.

Criticizing Grenell's unacceptable behaviour has nothing to do with homophobia, that's nonsense. His behaviour and trying to interfere in domestic politics is criticized, and rightly so, not his sexuality. There are no laws in Germany that make criticizing a gay person illegal.

Why should anyone lecture Germany on their shameful past - as if every country didn't have one. Of course the matter is scale, but if we were to compare scale weren't the Bolsheviks worse. But then again the genocide was internal and it was covered up. See it's not how many you kill that matters, or for what reason they are being killed. What matter's is who is being killed. Yemen comes to mind.

    The hypocrisy is unbelievable.
