It would be hard to prove that anyone was lying about their opinions. Regardless, their opinions have no value, whether honest or not.

ONLY They weren't sworn statements and he interviewees weren't subpoenaed. That not how the IG works.. very limited powers.. Durham has the powers of an investigation. Sooooo yes ,, they could lie

I wasn't referring to the IG report. I was referring to the professionals from the State Dept & Foreign Service, who gave SWORN testimony to the Intelligence Committee in the House of Representatives.

It wasn't just about their opinions. It was about how the information all converged & worked together to form a pattern of behaviors & actions by the President that were clearly against the Constitution he swore to "preserve, protect & defend," & against the security of the U.S., by weakening our allies who were already fighting a military conflict with our longest continual enemy, Russia. Before Trump, Republicans were our strongest anti-Russians. Now, with Trump pulling them along behind him, they've become thoughtless, mindless sycophants of Putin's schemes just like Trump. What a sickening development. :(

All based on hearsay, and the one fact witness said Trump told him no QPQ.

LOL, the fact Trump arms Ukraine while Obama gave them blankets kind of blows your theory. As does Trump's energy policies making Russia irrelevant. Too bad the LW didn't care about Russia when it mattered during the Cold War, several of them were even executed for treason for being Russian agents. Who cares about Russia? Their economy is the size of Italy's, their military is 10% of ours, and they have one broken aircraft carrier. China and Radical Islam are our biggest enemies.

You are badly informed. Sandland said very openly & strongly that there WAS A QPQ. Sondland was a direct connection with Trump, & still is.

You mean he said he presumed that's the problem with the dems they have to add words or ignore words to come to their conclusion. What did he say when he finally checked with Trump since no one knew?

I don't dispute your last sentence, but although Russia is far weaker than the USSR used to be, it still has nuclear weapons, & how many nuclear strikes would it take to destroy the ability of the U.S. to function as a society? I say about 20. But Russia has several thousand. How does that make Russia weak, or not a threat?

Trump has always denied it, even after admitting it openly several times. What would you expect Trump to tell Sondland? Trump's word can't be trusted. He lies almost every time he opens his mouth.

I am of a different opinion.

    So, there we are.

In the grand scheme of things, my opinion holds no more value than yours. The only thing that I am happy to say, is that I'm not cheering for the impeachment of a President over my opinion.

They aren't an expansionist power funding violent revolution around the globe, as they were as the USSR. They have their hands full trying to master Ukraine, who remind me why we should care about?

That was his opinion based on hearsay, Trump told him he didn't want a QPQ. The aid was given, and no Ukraine investigation was launched unfortunately, so you want to impeach based on possibly thinking about a QPQ? What about Biden's QPQ? ALL foreign aid is QPQ, it's why we give it.

    No, he didn't.

Funny how you contradict yourself in one post.

No, I mean Sondland said in clear English that there was a QPQ. Watch him on this Youtube video, beginning at 1:30...

You only have to watch 2-3 minutes of it.

    I hope this helps.

My concern isn't for or against the President. My concern is for the damage Trump is doing to the nation's oldest & greatest institutions, including the Constitution itself.

Well, Americans--& Republicans--used to care about helping others around the world who were suffering under totalitarian rule, to find ways to move toward democracy. I guess the new Trump-Republicans just don't care anymore.

The point has been made repeatedly. Please, pay attention. As long as the QPQ is for the benefit of the nation, it's fine. But our Constitution forbids a QPQ with any foreign nation that serves to benefit the President personally rather than the nation, & that's precisely what this one proposed to do. If you allow Trump to get away with this, then you have no right to complain when another President you don't like, does it again. I don't want Trump OR anyone else doing it, now or ever.

What is it about Trump you find so hypnotic that you can't see his lies?

And my concern is over the damage that the Democrats are doing to the Constitution with their fraudulent impeachment.

    So, there we are.

If it were actually fraudulent, I'd join you. But those that testified in the House hearings, were dedicated professionals who had a lot to lose & nothing to gain by offering their testimonies. Yet, they cared enough about this nation & its Constitution to do so anyway. Trump cares about one thing--himself; always has, always will. That fact alone makes me wonder how anyone can respect anyone with such extreme egoism. I don't--& can't. How can you?

A reply, but not a response. I'm honestly bewildered by what Trumpsters see in Trump that's worthy of their loyalty. I'm at a total loss to explain it or understand it. Help me out. What is so appealing about him to you? Why the blind devotion? What do you find in him worthy of your admiration? I'm not trying to give you a hard time. I'm just trying to understand.

    I'm tired of the whining.

Yes, there were people who testified about what they heard, and to their opinions about what they heard.

Meanwhile, we have an anonymous "whistleblower", who conspired with Schiff's staff, in order to start this stinking pile of crap.

After the RUSSIA! crap, do you think that I'm going to even listen?

After the Kavanaugh smears, do you think that I'll listen?

After the Covington kids smear, do you think that I'll listen?

After the great NAZI! scare, do you think that I'll listen?

After all of the rest of the fake charges, do you think that I'll listen?

You'll just have to sit there and wonder why I don't care anymore.

Have fun with your latest hoax.
