Trying to merge? Sounds like an up to date Mary Shelley story. :)

I thought they were both part of the same Gov anyway, what are they trying to merge into? Last I looked, Lieberman was being 'investigated' for some large scale criminal activity...I guess those charges didn't stick then, huh?

They will all be tied in with Jewish Russian mafia, these blokes.

The Russian mafia spent their winter in Israel, it also afford them unfettered access into the US, and back out again.

As can be seen by two mins of research, and absorbing the wikicable - Israel A Promised Land for organised crime.

But they do not want to.

I would sooner make Israel account for what they have, force them to have inspections, and sign the NPT.

    If they refuse?

No aid, no money, no dole cheque, aggressive sanctions against them.

You MUST have someone better than those two clowns?

    It's impossible that you don't.

I refuse to believe, that in a world of some 18million Jews, the best you can rustle up is a man that looks like a murderer, and a bearded crook.

Yes, indeed. That's what the UN should be pushing for. But until the UN itself is democraticised it ain't gonna happen.

All the good ones went to buisness (Jews after all...)

Lets hope Obama will help here, we still have time to shift power to the left, Abu Mazen bold interview on peace (I think i have a crush on him...) also helped but we need more pressure here, if only the left would join up..

Anyway, if Hamas or Jihad will start bombing, its all over...

Surely you are familiar with how a coaltion government is formed. Its about their parties merging, which would allow them to consolidate seats and be a larger power amongst the plethora of parties. Would help a lot in retaining power, unfortunately.

here's a decent summary of the machinations so far:

    netanyahu-s-big-bang-gambit-with-lieberman-might-blow-up-in-his-face.premium

Lieberman has probably beaten the rap, for no other reason than having better lawyers. I hate that side of "justice".

Yeah, we have one here, a coalition Gov - and it is rank rotten.

That said, the word merged to me, has a meaning of two entities becoming as one, that is where the confusion was.

Really? where has that empathic humanist gone?

You want the supreme leader to have a nuclear bomb? you want to further destabilize the region? You think China and Russia will tolerate another nuke power on their borders?

American hasn't been duped by Obama. I think he;'s the real deal. measured, tough, forthright, totally unafraid to wield the awesome power he has but would rather not.

gotta love that "aggressive imperialist puppet" label. You have no idea what imperalism is do you.

Relatively defenceless countries? Yes that's it. Has nothing to do with those countries politics, their own actions.

But I suppose you are correct Lebannon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt are all relatively defenceless.

Compassionate Humanist where for art thou?

Of course, in a ideal world, we could all sit around the camp fire singing kum buyar. But Israel and the West are not going to dismantle their arsenals and the language and actions of the said West gives the message to Iran that the latter are on course to expand their capacities rather than get rid of them. . So it's in Iran's interest to join the nuclear club or else get bombed. That's been the history of nations like Iraq who were bombed precisely because they DIDN'T have WMDS.

How can you say that the US that is made of so many diffrent religions and nationallities stand in the way of harmony and Iran that rejects all that and denys simple rights of its own citizens - does, now I know Iran has the right to live exactly the way it wants but dont claim its for harmony more that the US..... that's just not true.

You've just created a set of Strawmen points there Gilos. The issue is would it be beneficial for Iran, from it's perspective, to develop nuclear weapons in the current climate whereupon over recent years it been subject to threats of attack by Israel and, in some cases, nuclear annihilation?

It is my argument that under such circumstances, it is reasonable that Iran go ahead with a nuclear weapons programme as a deterrent against the possibility of Israel following through with those open threats. Any sane nation would. The ones that didn't were ripe for invasion and bombs and so it's no coincidence that they were invaded and bombed as a result.

Iran has learnt the hard way that it doesn't pay to abide by international treaties when your official enemies either don't play by the rules, or alternatively, disregard them altogether. So better to join the nuclear club in the certainty that ones national sovereign integrity won't be compromised.

100% see where you are at.

I also 100% believe that Iran have never wanted them, or tried to develop them.

However, how let us say that you hopped on a plane to Tehran, with your colour catalogue of nukes, and tried to sell them the logic of the idea, how precisely do you propose they actually obtain them?

Are you sure their scientists have the means?

Are you sure they could gradually do this, internally, and no one would know?

Maybe they could buy them? Iran can get cash together. They even had natural resources to offer. Americans say a deal is a deal, and all is fair in capitalism and such...maybe they could buy some from the US?

Or some from the US and some from Russia?

Or maybe we could stimulate our economy, and make and sell them some?

Any of those tickle yer fancy? ;)

When was Iran thretened by Nuclear annihilation?

OFC it works for its benefit, its just so happens they also want to destroy my country - oops...did I say destroy? I meant "removing" it so the world be "safer" or someting like that, killing just the bad guys that Iran decides.....,

As such, and we can debate on that but most western leaders agree already, it is not acceptable to pursue Nukes, its opposing intersts, from their side they have the right to have Nukes form our side they dont.

There willingness to go it alone against Iraq would seem to indicate otherwise.

There is no doubt that Benny and his ilk would have rather have had Mitt.

I can see them all together actually, the axis of racists, Mitt, Benny, Lieberman.

And there is no doubt that Benny as good as made that clear, prior to the election, no getting away from it.

He has also tried to undermine the US President, too many times, if I were American, I would want my President to tell him to shut the fick up, tell Israel to get off the dole and back to work, since the welfare was stopping, and that if Israel wanted to begin a war with Iran, they are on their own, but also accountable for their actions, as all are.

Then I would demand they sign the NPT or shut the hell up about nukes.

How about that, how bloody refreshing would that be?

    I wouldn't.

    I'd bring them to justice.

    And cut off their dole.
