U.S. hiring topped expectations in February, as the labor market added 273,000 jobs, before the wide-spreading coronavirus began to affect the economy. Unemployment ticked down slightly to 3.5 percent, returning to a half-century low, the Labor Department said Friday. Average hourly earnings rose by 9 cents over the past year to $28.52 The payroll number surged past the estimate of 175,000 from economists surveyed by Refinitiv, who also saw the unemployment rate holding steady from January's 3.6 percent. It marks the 113th month of straight gains.

...The report contained more good news for the labor market: Employment gains for the previous two months were both revised higher by a combined total of 85,000. December moved up from 147,000 to 184,000, while January went up from 225,000 to 273,000. That means the average job creation over the past three months is a robust 243,000.

13 straight months of economic expansion-and signs of a robust economy are reflected in these numbers.

The Trump administration is also cutting food stamps to 700,000 able bodied adults without dependents at the end of the month-I'd expect another bump in new jobs over the coming months.

The corona virus hysteria is just that-hysteria but that won't stop top dems and the media from trying to spin it.

Kudos to Trump for finding Obama's magic wand.

Great news! Frankly, job growth under this Admin is nothing new....far different then the double digit unemployment we saw at the end of the Obama Admin.

This growth was happening despite the left's attempts to derail the economy with their hoax regarding the conronavirus

Indeed. You know the economy is roaring when Obama is trying to take credit for it yet again. 8)

Yet even with a "Roaring Economy", Trump's Approval is Underwater.

    Why is that?

Given this "Economy", Trump should have Approval Numbers in the 60s.

    Go figure.

Maybe because of a Deep State coup attempt, shampeachment, and 95% negative coverage by your friends in the corrupt media?

Nice you aren't trying to dispute the state of the Trump economy.

Largely due to hoaxes by the left, fake news by the left, and just hate speech from folks like Chucky.....the DNC is literally at war with the Republic and freedom

there was no double digit UE at the end of obamas administration. it was under 5%. UE has been on the same exact steady decline since 2010. The economy has been on the exact same unchanging trend line since 2010

no there wasn't. the end of his administration had UE under 5%. Every economic metric has been on the same unchanging trend line since 2010.

    Nah.

There was NO "Deep State Coup Attempt".

That Fantastical "Coup" BS belongs in the Conspiracy Section.

One suggestion (that I would offer Trump) to increase "approval":

Treat the Office with some dignity and keep his MORONIC Brain Diarrhea off of Twitter.

^That would be a good start.

ah you are right....it was during the midterm it reach that high...4 years into the Dem Congress.

I certainly agree once the GOP won, in a landslide at every level of Govt we started to see some economic benefits, which laid the path work for the Trump admin to give us the historically amazing economy.

Hours worked ticked up by one tenth of 1% to 34.4 from the prior 3 months ten year low of 34.3 hours. Indicating we still have an awful lot of part time workers in our economy.

Not really...Obama and the Dems had created double digit UE, obviously when the GOP took Congress things were going to change, and jobs were going to be added....at this point under Trump we have full employment....not a lot more to add, but as the report highlights we still are

Yet it is still following trend lines...
Too bad marginal wages are not increasing at a similar pace.

um we had double digit UE https://data.bls.gov/timeseries/LNS14000000

It was actually towards the end of 2009 we went over DD.

and in 2010 the GOP did have a historic victory at all levels of Govt...

because of the republican caused recession. we've been over that.
yes, republican incompetence is costly to the economy.
which has no relevance to the economy turning around. That was accomplished by the democrats in congress, bush signing into law, and Obama signing into law tarp and the bail outs.
