nope, i know chinese well, cause my wife is chinese american. many han dont like the idea that minority can have up to 3 kids, where han can only have 1, among other things.

Was Taiwan corrupt in the 1940's? Don't know. It's not relevant to Taiwan 2021.
Was Sth Korea corrupt even more recent? Sure, but it's not relevant to 2021.
And was Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia more corrupt back then. Sure.

 

my point is you said KMT wasn't corrupt in 40s, i show you the proof, rather then admit that is true, you come up with some excuse saids it doesn't matter. its liking saying slavery doesn't exist, when someone show proof, then you said it doesn't matter today, basically you are using other excuse to avoid been wrong, its call stubborn. and ps of course taiwan history matter to taiwaness, otherwise whats point of history class. when someone show you the proof and deep down you know you made a mistake or just dont understand the subject well, just be humble and said good to know or just dont reply the same thread over and over try to find excuse to justify lacking knowledge/history of taiwan.

I have no doubt Taiwan was corrupt. Those who fled China in 1949 were corrupt.
But the nation that grew out of that time is a lot less corrupt.
