Yes, truth is stranger than fiction.

    https://www.businessinsider.com/russia-sent-coronavirus-medical-gear-to-us-2020-4

As Russia delivers humanitarian aid to the US in an act of humane generosity, the US reciprocates by displaying its cruel belligerence to the rest of the world by keeping sanctions in place or even adding more sanctions.

As US corporations get bailed out by the government, some of the people will get enough money to pay a month's expenses.

The true motivations and actions of the 2 governments are in stark contrast. Generous humanity from Moscow, even to a country that demonizes it incessantly, and selfish and bellicose economic warfare against the rest of the world from Washington.

The US claim that it and its military are a "force for good" is only propaganda.

You might not be aware of it 'down under', but the US has imposed sanctions that still stand against Russia AT LEAST since the MH17 event in the summer of 2014. And that story was completely contrived. Russia had no role whatsoever in that shootdown, yet the US blamed it without providing one shred of evidence. Indeed, all the known facts show the story to be grossly inaccurate.

The US also has imposed over many years sanctions against Cuba, Venezuela and China, yet China and Cuba are also providing humanitarian medical assistance to a number of countries during this crisis.

That, even as the US makes belligerent moves against Venezuela as we speak, and last week indicted Maduro on trumped up charges (how appropriate a term these days) regarding drug trafficking.

The US government operates in a steady state mode of moral turpitude, even as the Russians demonstrate that old Christian virtue of turning the other cheek.

Goodness, how the roles have changed.

Is this the Russia that boasts it can swamp the East Coast of the USA and drown
millions of men, women and children with an underwater nuclear bomb?
If Russia want to be a good citizen it can begin by handing over the individuals
named in the Dutch inquiry for bringing anti-aircraft missiles into Ukraine.

    Forget the face masks...

It’s not aid when you pay for it.

If the roles had been reversed, money exchanged or not, the US would have told Russia to "stuff it".

Or, in the hypothetical that Russia had requested such aid from us, we would have said the same thing.

Right now several US jurisdictions like New York State and many others would happily pay for such assistance.

Your fawning over the Russians is as ridiculous as that woman who continually claims that Vladimir Putin is some kind of savior of Christianity.

Your living in denial and posting in denial are consistent.

While the US imposes economic warfare against numerous countries, and military aggression against many more, the Russians are motivated more by generosity and humane efforts.

You're simply in denial about what this government (and country it seems) have become. Even in this time of crisis across the globe, your government keeps and imposes sanctions that punish the people of those countries.

Your naivety in taking the Russian actions at face value is simply galling.

What should the U.S. use instead of sanctions? Open warfare? Amazing how critics of economic sanctions never seem to think that far ahead.

You can all me many things sir, but naïve is not one of them.

To answer your brainwashed questions, I would offer Jefferson's thoughts from so long ago: "Honest friendship with all nations, entangling alliances with none." Putin lives up to that more than Trump does.

In order to find peace, one must seek peace.

You and Mad Mike Pompeo have not yet figured that out.

I'm quite sure he has done so to enhance the appeals to Russian nationalism.

I've never cared for Jefferson. You invoking him means nothing to me. Yes you are hopelessly naive.

I like American nationalism which is a considerably different than nationalism in Russia, Germany, France, China, and almost everywhere else. Foreign Affairs magazine had a good article several years ago explaining the differences.

Did you even read the article? Here's a snippet: "The cargo of ventilators and personal protection equipment was actually sold to the US by the Kremlin."

Which doesn’t change the fact that it’s not aid - it was a transaction.

Last I checked we cut a check for that "aid" that was brought over. I'll hazard a guess that it'll be as useless as the supplies were to Italy.

Looks like an ass kissing PR stunt by the vatniks.

If its being PAID for......why should sanctions be lifted.:)).

Tell that to Moldova, Georgia, Ukraine and Baltic states.
I bet they have a different opinion about having Russia as a friend.

It’s hilarious how Russian trolls spin things up here.
So, I guess, going forward, when I go grocery shopping - it will be called getting humanitarian aid from that store. Or when I work remotely - I provide humanitarian aid to my employer (albeit for money and bennies, but who looks into silly details like that?).

Eleuthera probably also thinks that the Russians also launch American astronauts to the ISS out of the goodness of their hearts. Ignoring the fact that the U.S. pays the Russians tens of millions (40 million IIRC) for each of our people they send up.
