Well good luck with getting 8 years of continuous strong economic growth then; but if you keep having to finance wars, then subsequently there will be the cost of re-building what you've destroyed, you'll never get that '8 years' - it's wishful thinking. Also, all debt has to be re-paid, and if you choose not to then future generations will have to pay it. But hey, who cares about future generations? Not you, obviously!

Now I am not thrilled with either U.S. Presidential Candidate but there is one thing that Trump is saying that I very much agree with and if properly implemented can dramatically increase the U.S. Economy.

Thus allowing us to quickly repay our debt.

That is restructuring the Free Trade Agreements to make them into Fair Trade Agreements.

Now we PURPOSELY allowed China to be able to export a much greater amount of goods to the United States than we export to China.

The REASON we allowed this was to help dramatically increase the Chinese Economy and Chinese Standard of Living in order to change the Chinese Population into a much more educated and prosperous one.

By doing this we have dramatically undermined the reach and power of the Chinese Communist Party Leadership to control their own population and it is just a matter of time before we will hear the Chinese People screaming for democracy once more!!

Good idea, and Trump will do it. But he'll do it by pulling back on your foreign policy; if you don't stop militarily rampaging all over the place, trying to repay your debt will be like trying to fill a bucket with a big hole in it.

Has it ever occurred to you that some countries' populations don't want your 'democracy thrust upon them, and apart from troublemaker anarchist groups, are quite happy with their lot? FFS poke out of the affairs of other countries, especially when they haven't asked for your interference. I've said that so often but you still don't effing GET IT!!!!!!! Jesus bloody wept! :wall: What is it that makes the US believe it knows what's best for everyone on the planet? I mean your sheer arrogance is breathtaking. Can't you see that?

OK...arrogance is thinking that 1.6 Billion people do not want to determine their own destiny by being able to elect their own leaders!!

What YOU are saying is arrogant!!

Perhaps we should take your voting rights away and then tell you that it is best for you!!??

Just mind your own business for once. You should know by your own society's descent into anarchy that you don't even know what's best for yourselves, much less for others, whose regional psyches you don't, nor ever will understand.

All that was 'then', and well done for all those achievements. I remember those days because I was so full of admiration and respect for the US. I'm dwelling on the 'now', and the US is not the same country that it was. It has lost its way.

Do you have a list of these countries where the people living there don't want a democracy?

Democracy is organic.. You can't force it on people at the point of a gun.

    I agree you can't.

But at a point when the people of a nation desire Democracy such as China and Iran....and their Non-Elected Leadership REFUSES TO ALLOW THEM SELF DETERMINATION....it is only a matter of time before the people will take matters into their own hands!!

I agree that our leadership has not been what we want.

The American People want an actual LEADER!!

Someone who will aspire us to do and create great things.

As far as the wars in the Middle East as you know I was totally against the war in Iraq but Afghanistan was necessary.

When things like 9/11 and hopefully that will never happen again but if it does....WE MUST STOP DOING HALF MEASURES TO RESOLVE THOSE KIND OF ISSUES!!

If you need to wipe and enemy out....WIPE THEM OUT COMPLETELY AND FOREVER!!

    We CAN DO THIS!!

We just need the leadership to know what to do!!

Don't we all!! Actually we're lucky enough to have one now, thank gawd. Teresa May is exceeding all my expectations and some.

Yes, your politicians let you down badly - and still are. 'lions led by donkeys'?

Not wishing to be contentious but you don't seem to be doing much 'wiping out' where IS is concerned - they're running rings around you. It's Russia they're scared of.

    That's why I believe Trump's your man.

Unfortunately a current lack of leadership is the reason we have not already wiped the ISIS out.

Some people say..."Oh they exist in multiple nations and you can't truly wipe them out."

    They are wrong.

There are ways to do this but we need a leader who will make the hard choices and not just do things based upon public opinion all the time.

pfft. Come on, let's all be honest here. We'd kick those commies right in the Marx. There's no Russian threat with or without a war. While I think a war with Russia is foolish, we can't ignore the threats they have posed to the US. Yea, they're only throwing sticks at our tanks, but if the tank driver isn't inside his tank, a stick could kill him. We at least need to be prepared for them.

I'm not talking about Hillary's emails....I'm talking about Russia's role in the Middle East and their hostile nature towards the West....

I think it has more to do with keeping a factory busy rebuilding old tanks for export. The T-72Bs would have to have a system to protect them from TOW missiles to be of any real concern to the US.

Recently there was speculation in the press about a possible abdication by Russia’s strongman, Vladimir Putin. Having dominated Russian politics for more than 15 years, Putin is being confronted with a harsh reality. A recent Bloomberg survey polling economists indicates that Putin’s economic policy was scored an “F”, the lowest possible grade, by 27 per cent of respondents. Another 50 per cent awarded him the next two poorest grades. Bill Clinton’s famous dictum, “it’s the economy, stupid”, which he used to explain his victory over President George Bush the elder, could be equally valid for Putin.

However, this time, it is the other way around. At a time when Brent crude oil is trading at below 30 US dollars per barrel and the rouble has lost 50 per cent of its value since the annexation of Crimea, the Russian population is being confronted with increasing pauperisation, which is having a negative impact on both their material well-being and their health.

    continued.

In many countries simply asking for democracy can be very dangerous and that is easily accessible information. If people preferred dictatorships you'd find fewer of them trying to escape to the democracies. But that seems self-evident, doesn't it?
