1. You move your money out of the banking system into crypto, choose a bluechip Bitcoin, Ethereum etc (store your money off centralised exchanges)
2. You can trade on decentralised exchanges to leverage or change what you have into another crypto

3. Use P2P exchanges to exchange for other currencies or giftcards etc.
So if you have someone in your area who sell something you want, you ask them to register on a P2P platform and offer that service in exchange for crypto, then make the trade on exchange, of course a simple transfer from crypto wallet to crypto wallet is doable if they are happy to do that.
Just search for peer 2 peer exchange or P2P exchange there's plenty

Make sure they are decentralised so no one can interfere with the transaction.
