Flavors added to vaping products, if they contain a certain type of sweetener, may do more than just appeal to young people; they may worsen the addiction. Animal research has also shown that acetaldehyde, another chemical in tobacco smoke created by the burning of sugars added as sweeteners, dramatically increases the reinforcing properties of nicotine and may also contribute to tobacco addiction. However, the flavored vapes don't contain sugar, so this isn't really applicable. The study examined flavored cigarettes, not flavored vaping liquid.Flavored cigarettes (besides menthol) were banned in 2009.
Vaping isn't tobacco. Sugar wouldn't work in vape juice. It would caramelize on the coil, and gunk up the works within a dozen puffs. No sugar in vape juice. Sorry, find another witch to hunt.
Vaping is addictive and dangerous. Second hand smoke from vaping and/or E-Cigarettes are just as bad as regular cigarettes and probably from pipes, cigars and possibly Marijuana (cannabis). High Schools and Junior high/Middle schools should have a ban on all smoking on their campuses. You can asthma attacks from second hand vaping as I was told by someone who works at a convenience store and that certain discontinued gaping and possibly E-cigarettes. The CVS pharmacy banned all kinds tobacco and that includes cigarettes, e-cigarettes and vaping. I thing it's a good thing CVS pharmacy did that. I have never taken up the habit of cigarettes and I know someone that lived to 100 the never took the habit of cigarettes. I have a message to the young people out there: if you don't smoke, don't start. If you do, quit as soon as possible. That's all I'm being to say for now.
I used flavored vapes to quit smoking... so not sure that is true, I slowly lower the nic content then when to no nicotine, then quit entirely nicotine is not really the issue, it's the burning leaves, same as if you smoked tea leaves or stood by a camp fire or fireplace the government mandate to add carpet glue to cigarettes has made them more harmful to the public
air inside your home is dangerous... I even heard recently the air in planes is contaminated with oils and fuel as the air comes in via the jet engine compartment
I don't know if there's just some way to raise the selling age of flavored vaping products, so for example it would be illegal to sell flavored vaping products to people under 25 years of age. Maybe put a big tax on them too to make them 90% more expensive than the non-flavored vaping products. That might be a good compromise between freedom and trying to stop the popularity of vaping among young people.
I've never really noticed it from airplanes maybe check out the gas stations and check the air there.
I think they should limit the amount of nicotine in the product. So it isn't so easy to get a lot of nicotine at one puff. Make the consumer earn their nicotine... in that way make it like cigarettes.
I don't know what your talking about here. I suggested you shouldn't get your info from store clerks, because the ones you've talked to have clearly misinformed you. You said... Citation needed.
raise the age of being an adult from 18 to 25 for the military too then if they ban or heavily tax vapes, people will go back to smoking
I think unless you're a pilot or a stewardess, probably not gonna affect you much - kinda like second hand smoke not gonna effect anyone unless they in a bar with smoke so thick you can cut it with a knife too much the lungs were designed to be self-cleaning... but too much of anything for too long can be bad for you
Please show your evidence that second hand "smoke" from vaping/E-cigarettes is just as bad as regular cigarettes? That's the first time I've read that. It makes absolutely no sense, since vaping normal products (not CBD or THC laced stuff or home-brewed stuff) is less dangerous than regular cigarettes. The bad stuff in the smoke just isn't present in the water vapor. Yes, vapers are obnoxious and the sickly sweet scent of most vaping liquids is about as obnoxious, but there is no reason to restrict vaping more than conventional cigarettes. I think the tobacco lobby is paying a lot of money for this war on vaping. I think vaping has been hurting their bottom line.
