    Thanks for saying thanks. I might add it was my privilege to serve. Serving 3 years and 3 months starting at age 17 not only made me proud to serve the USA but it helped me to mature, learn, become confident, accept responsibility, and meet some awesome people.

    I usually don't wear my Vietnam Service cap. Today, I attended a Nov 11 memorial and wore my cap. It is embarrassing getting all the "Thank you for your service" comments. I enjoyed my service and never considered it a hardship. As is frequently said, it was likely harder on my wife being stuck at home alone with the kids.
