Modern medicines? Please, the Muslims are responsible for modern surgery...not to mention modern soap and a gazillion of other things. So every time you wash your behind, be sure to thank the Arabs.

Again, all you can come up with is what very ancient people in the Mid East did long before Islam turned most of the region into a ****hole.

Soap was around before 2,000 BC (before Christ).
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soap

There are no significant medical practices attributed to Islamic Arabs since 610 AD.

Most Islamic medical knowledge was copied from the Greeks, Romans and other Western peoples. Again, no significant "modern" medical advances as so much of the Islamic world is still living in the Dark Ages.

Nope.. unlike Israel the Muslims left Architectural evidence in Spain... as well as a huge body of scienctific work and translations.

This is such an ignorant statement. Islamic Spain alone was generating more books than all of Europe combined. Then there are things like the House of Wisdom in Baghdad, and of course the massive Islamic contributions to mathematics, science and philosophy. Even the Zionist Bernard Lewis admits that "for many centuries the world of Islam was in the forefront of human civilization and achievement.” You have no idea what you're talking about.

I specifically mentioned modern soap. The Arabs added sodium hydroxide and scent. But feel free to bathe in animal fat since you hate Islam so much.

Changing the goal posts I see.

All knowledge has been copied and added to by civilizations, and the Arabs are no exception. Given their control of the Middle East, they were able to fuse the best of both worlds and create something unique. The enlightenment writers themselves borrowed from the ideas of Muslim scholars.

You are just ignorant of Islamic history. All Westerners know about Marco Polo, but I doubt you know who Ibn Battuta was; or Ibn Sina; or Al Farabi; etc.... This is not surprising, given that Westerners are generally taught the Enlightenment to Communism.

I can understand you having feelings for your fellow Muslims, and that's fine. There have been a few pockets of more modern, Islam-dominated areas in Spain and Persia over the last 1,500 years. But what can be directly attributed to them pales to insignificance compared to what came out of Western societies and East Asia.

However, has North Africa had any great civilizations since the ancient Egyptians, Greeks, Romans Carthagenians and even Vandals, since these peoples have been ethically cleansed by Arabs and Islamics?

What great ideas, discoveries or inventions have come out of Lybia, Egypt, Tunisia, Saudia Arabia, Iran or Iraq in the last 1500 years?

The question to ask, was North Africa and the Mid East a better place before Islam?

Of course, I think not. Also the boatloads of people who have been trying to flee from this nighmarish world don't think so either.

This is your own opinion. And given your ignorance of Islamic history, I'll take it with an extremely tiny grain of salt.

Huh? You are aware that it was called the ISLAMIC golden age, right?

    You mean 800 years, however-

No one is denying the Islamic world is currently going through an intellectual malaise. Europe had its dark ages, and now the East is having its own dark times. But I wouldn't gloat if I were you. The West will once again be plunged bank into the darkness.

Of course not, as Islam came and enlightened the peoples of those regions.

It sure played an important role in their New World colonialism. The Little Ice Age helped (decisively, from what I've heard) wipe out the Greenland colony.

It really is a shame they didn't make it farther south.

No, The shame was they would not learn survival from their skraling, Inuit neighbors.
Their belief Native peoples were inferior and had no knowledge needed was the mistake.

Regardless I do not accept global warming, yet - until Greenland can support pasture critters, Viking style.
And there be plentiful wild grapes in Vinland - I accept as near Newfoundland.
And it is too hot in France to grow good wine grapes so they import finer, British wines.

This is all in the written record a bit more than 1000 years ago and so conveniently forgotten by
    Global Warming Alarmist.

Well, who's to say what exact effects AGW will have on weather? It may have different outcomes than past, natural warmer periods.

You sound as certain as the people you attack, who say that humans are causing warming. How can you be so certain?

It's warming as a result of humans pumping greenhouse gases into the environment. The tricky part is predicting its future effects!

Wasn't long after that that the Little Ice Age began. Things happen naturally, no one disputes that. But that does not mean that we cannot and do not also impact the climate through our actions.

And it took global warming to make it happen.
Otherwise they would have remained in the Baltic Sea
