Americans need to get voluntarily infected with Covid so when they recover they can go and enjoy their lives. We've been locked down for five months and we're not anywhere close to solving the problem. If you want me to stay isolated for another month? Fine, first infect me so I can use this time to develop my antibodies. Do that for anyone whobwants to volunteer.

That idea isn't really working. People are dying constantly or dealing with long-term health effects to various body systems. Yes, it's mild for some people but there is no way to know who and who will get the not-so-mild version and it doesn't seem to discriminate (despite what we were told about the high risk groups).

Nevertheless, I'm sure you can find a grassroots entity to expose yourself, if you so choose.

I think this exposes the obvious. At some point, everyone is going to get it, mask or no mask. Your idea isn’t that crazy, actually. Get the virus, get over the virus, become immune to the virus. It makes a whole lot more sense than having a country act like one big hypochondriac.

A whole lot of recovered instead of dying though, in fact much more. Trying to deal with Covid and long term health complications at the same time is a losing battle. We may never reach herd immunity, but this idea would help to build a passive immune firewall to the virus.

It’s clearly moved from China to Europe then to the US which is now its temporary epicenter.

Cases fell first in China then in Europe from their highs and this is due to natural exposure and not from lockdowns. The same will happen in the States.

People still go out for things like groceries anyway. Touch the wrong thing and you get it.

    All exposure is involuntary.

It is a virus and it’s gonna find you one way or the other.

Might as well be brave and not let it further wreck the economy of the world.

Then wear gloves when you go to the grocery store. Those puppies can open the produce bags in a heartbeat, no water needed.

Even when we have groceries delivered, I clean everything with lysol wipes b4 it comes in the house. I don't know how careful we have to be given any degree of care far exceeds where we were b4.

With people like you, it is no wonder that the US has 25% of the world's cases, with only 4% of the population. We are truly doomed.
