Again, it will not be 50 states, at maximum I could see 25-30 states doing this. The mail would largely be contained within the state where the vote was cast so if the original five can handle it the 25-30 others should have no issue. The Pandemic, contagion would be much easier to control if it is just mail couriers touching an envelope — have them wear gloves and a mask, sanitize the mail at the processing center and it is contained. The alternative is a line of people waiting in large groups touching the same doors and machines and requiring sterilization after each person (which is what the red states will opt for).

And afterwards, we have vote by mail permanently in those states.

NONsense! Contained within the state, how that going with the COVID pandemic? Have them wear gloves, how's that working so far? Sanitize the mail, ALL the mail?

You sir need to rethink it, it will be far less trouble to just delay the election and that's just what congress will be forced to do via the CDC warnings and recommendations! Take S Korea, they too thought they had it whooped and now look they are up to their ass in it again..

But we will see, right? Who knows by that time there maybe a cure or defense OR most will dead or to sick to give a damn about voting for Trump or stroke'n Joe-joe ;)

We had elections in the MIDDLE of a CIVIL WAR in 1862. If Lincoln can manage to keep things together in the middle of 600,000 Americans killing each other, then Trump should be able to pull off an election now.

You think that's the same as World wide Pandemic?

Off with you Daniel, come back with something a little more realistic..

We've had absentee voting for decades now - it ain't rocket science. We can maintain social distancing at polling places. Ain't rocket science. We still
go the grocery store - voting with social distancing would be no more dangerous than that. So kindly take your "off with you ..." and use it as a rectal thermometer.

We had one in 2009. It's just that people didn't panic back then because they trusted the Obama government more than the Trump government.
Try again, dude. Elections are just as important as grocery shopping and we haven't stopped that. We can simply open the polling places for a week to spread people out rather than just for the day. Think outside your box.

H1N1 emerged in 2009, if I recall correctly Mr. Obatard was sworn in Jan 2009

That's is a entirely different scenario then what we see today.. Also H1N1 was estimated to be associated with 151,700 to 575,400 deaths worldwide during the first year it circulated.

Also, like everything else associated with the Obama presidency the real truth(s) was hidden.
This time there is far more honesty because the left want Trump to look worse then Mr. Obatards 8 year pandemic :)

My point is, what you think you know and what the truth is is very different.. And according to the CDC there is still no vaccine for H1N1

The SCOTUS just ruled the election could not be pushed back unilaterally and the Republicans are forcing it to go ahead in Wisconsin — I see no reason why this will be different. Even if they do push it back they cannot move the date of the new presidential term — while it has never happened it looks like it would follow the presidential chain of succession — President Nanci Pelosi.

I am sure she would enjoy all of the new powers Republicans have ceded her.

"Voters, What Has Biden Done For the Coronavirus Response"

Trump is still President, Biden will be President next year and can clean up after Trump like Obama had to do after Bush

that is unless Trump wants to step down early, let Pence take over

We shall see. At this point COVID and the CDC are the actual defining voices..

If there isn't an election certified before the end of Trump's term for some reason, get ready for Nancy Pelosi to become president by succession.

Weird, here what the leftist were Proclaiming while Mr Obatard was President ;)

Once again the lack of history files the leftist back in the "But we can and you cant" category ;)

As an unemployed old geezer who neither fleeces the unwashed masses in casinos, nor dazzles them as an entertainer on shlock reality-tv shows, all he can really do at present is provide hope, but that is no small service amidst the current national plight.

That, and "do no harm" such as hyping unproven drugs to drive up Crazy Rudy's stock portfolio.

I don't know what hopeful lib said that, but they're wrong.

The VP's and president's terms expire on January 20th, unless they have been re-elected, as per the 20th amendment. But congress has to assemble after January 3rd, after their terms have expired. That means states have to decide whether or not to just appoint representatives. If they do, then Pelosi will be speaker of the house when Trump and Pence leave office. If not, then governors get to appoint the 33 senator positions that will have expired. In that case, there are democrat governors who would get to replace republican senators with democrats, giving dems a majority, meaning Pat Leahy would likely become president.

So if Trump stops the election from happening and/or being certified by January 20th, then a democrat will become president by rule of succession.

Well then, I suppose that explains why this pandemic is getting so much traction, clearly you have convinced me that this is a win-win for the leftist and their three year long effort to topple a president they don't see losing in Nov :) One of their better thought out plans :nod::nod: :rock_slayer:

It doesn't matter what you're convinced of. Trump may be dumb and desperate enough to try to suspend elections, but there are other republicans who aren't. It's not going to happen.

Do you live in Wisconsin?? I do, and Governor Evers said for weeks that the election was going to move on like normal until Trump endorsed Daniel Kelly... THEN he suddenly felt the urge to attempt changing the date...

In my opinion, the American people will never forgive a president whose stupidity or selfishness has killed thousands of Americans.

Strictly speaking, Trump is responsible for the deaths of more innocent Americans than Bin Laden.

So you believe changing the date had nothing to do with the vast majority of the polling sites being closed, the possible viral exposure or that people would have to spend hours in line to cast their vote and was only because trump endorsed a Republican?

Trump was impeached, republicans just thought he learned his lesson is the only reason he was not also removed, no one thinks Trump was innocent

just think, had Trump been removed, he would be mass tweeting how badly Pence was handling this, and he would have done better

    Correct.

Correct. If it was at all about COVID, then it would've been attempted many weeks beforehand, not on the day before the election.

    Correct.
