I get your perspective-but the liberals would say they aren't the ones curtailing free speech and rioting.

You can see the bind the party is in.

    How does it get resolved?

Sanders was bought by the people and Hilary was bought by the banks. Progressives will need to have a majority if there is any chance of a bill like that going through. Quanto what?

Yeah Tulsy is my favorite going in. Sanders I think was compromised after the primary. The moment he endorsed Hilary there was a lot of red flags that went off in my mind and now this whole unity tour to unite the Democratic party was a final nail on the coffin for me. He needs to take a back seat and not run in 2020 imo. I think Tulsy would dismantle Hilary. People already know she is corrupt. All she would have to do is call her out on the fact that she is bought and that she gets a stiffy for war and that's a rap.

They won't need to bow down to anyone if they refuse contributions from super pacs and corporations.

Trump did this and he won, so I believe it.

Tulsi will be a blank record if she runs-but can she survive a hostile dem establishment?

It depends on who else runs for the establishment side. If Biden decides to run then that could be a problem. Mainstream media would for sure give him a giant push and they would black out real progressives like Tulsy. He is also very well known and people don't dislike him as nearly as much as they do Hilary.

She would get obliterated. I don't think both her and Biden would run at the same time. The establishment is going to pick one and I hope they make the same mistake and they choose her again.

Look Taylor, just because democrats don't win in deep red states doesn't mean there won't be a blue wave and currently the president has a 40-55% approval and the democrats almost took deep red seats in Montana and Kansas and look like they might win a deep red seat in Georgia. What really matters is if they can win in swing states. If so there will be a blue wave, especially if democrats maintain their 6% lead in the generic congressional vote. This wave probably won't affect the Senate because most seats up this time around will be democratic but if democrats can maintain their numbers this time around, they can sweep the Senate in 2020 when most seats up will be Republican. But who knows what can happen, maybe that orange Mussolini of yours will start doing things normal people like.

You are cheer leading as the airplane crashes. You are citing stats as if it changes reality. What happens when it does not?

When you talk of generic votes, or swing states I wonder if you understand.

Sweeps are off the table for you for some time.

And lol at mentions of Italian socialists.

    They can't help you bud.

If she runs and Biden seats out she wouldn't win the primary. Elizabeth or Tulsy would and they would easily defeat Trump.

The left needs to get off Trump's case.

They should instead build a strong unifying uplifting party platform and then find an awesome person to run on that platform in 2020. Leave the hate behind.

Have the democrats always hated white working class men? I thought they were once the party of those people?

    Are you referring to yourself?

The stats say that people have never liked Trump and the only reasons he got elected was 1. lots of luck, and 2. most people don't like Hillary either.

Thats a lot of faith for a deeply unpopular president, deeply discouraging midterm polls, and disturbingly narrow victories in places that are usually land-slides for Republicans. You better cross your fingers and hope things turn around for Trump in the next year and a half.

Although the policies are different you can't deny the resemblance.

Red State Montana was a 10 point swing AWAY from the GOP!

Red State Kansas was a 20 point swing AWAY from the GOP!

In the State election in DE the GOP was trounced by a 14 point swing AWAY from the GOP!

Are you starting to see a pattern here?

The Dems have seen a lot of volunteers coming forward and they are making a difference. If they maintain this momentum in 2018 the GOP is going to have to fight for every seat which is not something they are used to doing in off year elections.

Yes, and thats why I keep putting her name next to Warren's. Elizabeth is not my number one choice but she has built a name for herself and a good reputation among progressives. Between her and Tulsy clobbering Hilary either of them stand a good chance of winning the primary and ultimately the general.
