When someone tells me they support the imaginary states right to illegal immigration, doesn't see what they're doing at the state or Congressional level, it tells me they require more education than I have time to give.

I do know that one can't rationalize with irrational people. I consider all conspiracy theorists to be irrational, at least in the area of their conspiracy theory. Some people are full blown nuts, but most are only mildly afflicted. Most, IMO, are simply confused and scared of a chaotic world and use conspiracy theories as coping mechanisms. YMMV.

Well it's both irrational people as well as those who can't see the obvious concrete things being done to support and defend illegal immigration at both the state and federal level.

Tell me more about how individual states have the right to bring in as many illegal aliens as they want. I must have missed that part of the Constitution.

It's irrational to have a conversation with irrational people. As for illegal immigration, obviously there are people making a great deal of money off of it. The fact you can't see this, much less explain the Democrat's master plan, says a lot.

Rational people understand the meaning of the Tenth Amendment. Liberals, even closet liberals, claim the Feds supercede the States in every way in direct conflict with the Tenth Amendment.

That's one category where it's a waste of time.

I shouldn't have to explain what Democrats are doing. If you watch the news or pay any attention at all they are continually trying to get more illegal aliens in and defending them at every turn.

Obvious stuff I don't feel like wasting my time on.

People who have read the Constitution know that the states have whatever powers were not given to the federal government, but immigration was one of the things given to the federal government.

The states have zero right to support or defend or make laws that benefit those here illegally. Period.

I've noticed you're a little obtuse on this one subject.

I suspect it's for personal reasons. Just a guess.

Nice. First sign a person is losing a debate? When they sling insults instead of facts. Good luck with your theory that the Democrats want to flood the US with illegals.

I'm not sure how it's an insult to suspect you have personal reasons to defend your point.

Good luck trying to ignore Democrats demands to protect illegal immigration. That you would even suggest they aren't is mind-boggling.

You are assuming all illegals are Liberals. Except for being brown skinned, Mexicans are the perfect Republicans: they are traditional, family-oriented, religious and have a strong work ethic. GW Bush, Rubio and other Republicans understand this fact and have tried to explain the reality to others, but either racism or fears immigrants will take minimum wage jobs away from white trash low income white voters has stopped the Republican party from supporting immigration reform.

As posted earlier, illegals can't vote in Federal elections.

Most Latinos support the Democratic Party, and illegal immigrant with a path to citizenship would have no reason to change. It isn't the Republican Party trying to make them citizens.

Correct. Now the question "Why?" Was my description incorrect? Are Latinos not traditional, family oriented and religious? So why do they support the religion-hating, anti-family, non-traditional Left?

Is it because the Republican party doesn't give a **** about them and the Democrats are the only ones who'll throw them a bone?

Except in Florida, likely true. Who keeps electing Democrats in California? I don't know if I can say what percentage of Latinos meet the description above, or how loose or tight the Catholic Church's hold is on modern US Latinos.

Saying "Latinos" is like saying "white people". Obviously there's a big difference in cultures between the US and the ****ing Russians, Germans or even the English...all "white people". Likewise, there's a big difference between the cultures of various nations in South America, Central America, the islands and Spain itself. Ask an Irishman if they are the same as an Englishman or a German if they are the same as a Frenchie. You should see the same when comparing former residents of various South and Central American nations.

No, not really, I have a fair chunk of Latino / Hispanic ethnicity, fluent Spanish, and apart from food, idiomatic language differences, Cultural differences are not as vast as between other Cultures, even Indios with additional dialects / languages are not so different.

I well admit that "Latino" is quite diverse, and I've no expertise in that culture.

No worse than an English speaking person visiting Countries where English is the primary language, customs vary, but not enough to matter beyond not offending one's hosts.

I'm not so sure that the plan is to build a physical wall over the entire border. I think some areas are better served using electronic devices to detect illegal crossings. The wall if built will not be effective if those who get past it are subject to catch and release. They must somehow be held responsible. I think one way to pay for border security is to deduct foreign aid to Mexico a certain amount per illegal. We might need immigrants and I've heard we take in about a million legal immigrants each year. That's plenty.

Having worked for several years throughout south Florida, I disagree. Texas is different since most are Mexican by descent.

Seriously? I have an English work friend who brought her parents to Disneyworld. The father laughed his ass off upon seeing a "fanny pack" for sale.

I have traveled the Spanish speaking Countries extensively, lived in several, have many relatives in many Countries, so I may know a lil bit about such cultures, and there is not enough Cultural differences or Cultural gulph between Latinos in General, the largest are seen in Spain and Countries with Indios still speaking aboriginal languages.
