    I had a Suzuki 750 in mid 1980.It was a rocket.I didn't put many
    miles on it.It sat too high { seat height at around 31 inches off the ground }
26 seems to be a good seat height. But no Sportbike has that low a seat.

In all fairness most women who 'want' to ride motorcycles would not be happy with a 250 for 3 years. Most women who ride because their husband/boy friend wants them to ride could be happy with a 250 for 3 years. When it was wrecked what did she replace it with? I could be wrong but I would guess she didn't.

The video is of 2 idiots:

    1. They are treating cars as if predictable fixed objects.
    2. Going fast side by side in a single lane.

Use a bike long enough in the city and you are going to get hit. Bikes are for open highways (unless dirt bikes). Only idiots weave fast around cars.

Small bikes that are not crotch rocket designs such as a Honda Rebel 250 around town are more fun plus can do a little highway travel is absolutely necessary - though are not very stable at highway speeds. For cruising the highways the bigger the better.

Unless you were a avid bicyclist including some trick riding, you are probably going to get hurt the first time you have to lock up the brakes. However, you are wise to stay down in the 600cc range rather than a true super bike.

The problem with your choice is it is too heavy to practice panic braking on.

What about the fastest production super bike?

    Guess what? It's electric!

    But, then, its $38,000.

IF you can live with ONLY 180mph top speed? For the same price range as gasoline:

    Many to pick from:

I may be wrong because I haven't kept up within the last year, but Kawasakli
offered The Fastest Production motorcycle a little over a year ago.
I saw it at the local Kawasaki dealer a little over a year ago.
    There are 2 versions.One is Not street legal { it's a track bike }.
    It's the Ninja H2R
    The first ever Supercharged Motorcycle.
    Somewhere in the vicinity of between 200 & 300 ponies { horsepower }

Seriously, that is the only bike I would trade up for. It's power to weight ratio, is ASTOUNDING.

But, I sure don't need it.

I saw it a couple times last year.I was amazed that the bike sat in
the showroom for over over 3 months. The track bike has an awesome
exhaust.Very loud.It can spit flames.I remember in the mid 70's going to
a biker bar where the Hells Angels would occasionally hang out.
Some kid who was being Inititated into the Angels had his arm wrapped
in a white ace bandage as if it might be broken. He started the bike on the
curb in front of the Bar and it was shooting flames.First time I ever saw a
street bike do that.I had a Triumph Bonneville at the time.
Think Hunter S. Thompson when he wrote his book :
    - Hell's Angels: { the strange and terrible saga of the
    outlaw motorcycle gangs } - 1967

You'd be wrong...she had a second bike and still does, a Pacific Coast.

Yes, I was wrong but at least the fact she went from a 250cc to an 800cc pretty well supports my theories about beginner vs. advanced motorcycles. I always admired the PC. In the mid 90's I had a ST 1100 which I loved and I always got a chuckle out of the people that mistook the ST for a PC and visa-versa.

I would suggest a beginner in his 30s start with a mid sized cruiser, not a crotch rocket.

No, she had the PC before the Hyo was wrecked...she bought it for long-distance touring; she wanted storage and a full fairing. Her first choice was actually the old 500cc Honda Silver Wing, but we couldn't find one. If she can find one, she plans to get another Hyosung Comet.

I suspect the much-lighter Comet would match the PC in acceleration.

I'm not really promoting electric, but the instant torque and flat torque curve of electric is almost impossible for a gasoline motor to match until they come up with an infinitely variable automatic tranny for one. In short, an electric is basically always at instant peak horsepower and peak torque, while a gasoline motor is there only momentarily thru each gear.
