Want to hear a nice thing that happened to me today?

I was at Steak & Shake today (in the drive through). I wanted to splurge (from a fast food perspective)...anyway, I order their Philly Cheese Steak burger as well as two large Onion rings baskets. I pull up to the drive up window and the nice girl tell me that my meal has already been paid for....Well, I had a "Dear in the Headlights" look on my face. I said Huh?? ...She told me that the person in the car two in front paid for the two cars behind him/her. I was taken back. I asked if I could thank the person who did this kindness of his/her heart? She told me the person had already left.
...After getting my meal all I could think of his how I can say "Thank you?"
Then it became obvious to me...PAY IT FORWARD! I promise to do the same!
Good outweighs the Bad...This kind act showed me that first hand!

Thank you Lord that such Good people still exist in this World of ours. I only wish "Good" was represented the same as the "BAD."

 

Glass half full, I like that.

 

It is nice to see that some people in this country can still do nice things without expecting anything for it.

 

So true! Especially, the way news is always presented... it's very easy to lose the fact that there are so many good people out there. This kind gesture really made my day!

 

What a great story! Glad it happened to you b/c you fully appreciate this gesture of kindness from a stranger and want to pass it on.

 

I don't know that it's a 'kindness' to buy someone junk food full of chemicals?

 

Why the bitterness? Try to smile once in awhile. In doing so you actually might feel better.

This is an AWESOME story. I just got back home to the states and have been CRAVING Bojangles. I'm going to Bo's and ordering for folks behind me.

I'm glad I read this before leaving.

 

That in itself is AWESOME! It's always great to hear a very positive uplifting story...The fact it happened to me personally really hit home. I've been humbled.

 

Didn't make it yesterday to fast food but I went through a toll this morning and paid for the people behind me lol

 

So were they paying forward evil?

 

Any idea why they chose you?

Once I went to a McDonald's drive through and ordered a $1 cheese burger and a coffee. Went I went to the pick-up window, they gave me a bag with 2 quarter pound cheese burgers, 2 big macs and 1 large fries. I thanked them and drove off. The Lord works in mysterious ways.

 

LOL did they chase you after you drove off once they realized they gave you the wrong bag?

 

Nor does it impede people from acting that way. Who do you think supports the local food bank? Local businesses. I know some people that live at a local homeless shelter. They say that local businesses bring so much food to the residences, that a lot of it goes bad before it all can be consumed. How many businesses around you offered discounts or free meals to veterans on November 11th? A lot of businesses give back to the community. So, capitalism does not stop someone from doing something nice, or teach someone not to do something nice for others. The only impedance is individual selfish attitudes.

In your part of the world, a 'doggy' person means exactly what?

I assume it doesn't necessarily mean someone who likes dogs, which I do.....please enlighten us.
