WaPo’s HIT PIECE on Russia Influencing Election FALLS APART!

It turns out that the recent Washington Post article accusing Right of Center journalists and media sources of essentially working for the Russian government in damaging Hillary Clinton's 2016 run for the presidency was disinformation given to them by what very probably is going to turn out to be a CIA run operation. Oh, and it is illegal for the CIA to do such things on U.S. soil.

So The Washington Post -- a newspaper KNOWN to essentially be working for the DNC -- writes a leftist hit piece against the Right using a CIA disinformation site illegally operating inside the United States? Sweet!

 

In retrospect, if Hillary did not cancel that fireworks ahead of the election, her victory would have been seen as a done deal, and she'd probably won, Russkies or not.

Wait, it WAS seen as a done deal. Poor, poor Hillary...

 

That piece has been attacked from the left too; Glenn Greenwald's The Intercept has a story on it too. This entire "fake news" meme is agitprop of the media fighting back against non news network and establishment newspaper media sources. I think the entire fake news story line is fake news.

 

There was a guy named Joseph McCarthy in the 1950's who was famous for accusing liberals of being traitorous commie sympathizers. Now the Democrats are pulling the same game on Trump.

 

It sure is hard to manipulate people when they have zero trust in you. The harder the MSM and the establishment try, the sillier they look.

In fairness to McCarthy, he was right. It ended up being revealed a bit later, but he was right. Today's Left is sympathetic with the Communists. That's why CNN had that disgusting tribute to Fidel Castro while I was watching the 70's autobiography.

Well, heck then - you can go all the way up to the New York Times which made making up stories an art form, much less the fact that for all intents and purposes it's an arm of the DNC. And I could go on about any news site as well; I think they've all had their scandals.

The problem being that it's already too late for the Mainstream Media now that 70% of the nation's adults no longer trust them where the reporting of politically-based issues are concerned. All they are doing by doubling-down with their DNC loyalist propaganda efforts is to dig the hole a little deeper for themselves.

 

Precisely. The reason that 70% of adults no longer trust the MSM when it comes to reporting or opining on politically-based issues is that people could detect a huge difference in the stuff that they saw and heard in comparison to what the Leftist-loyal Mainstream Media was always TELLING them that they had seen or listened to. People made up their own minds based on common sense, and blatant propaganda from the MSM telling people otherwise, is simply not going to fly at this point. The only way for the MSM to win back trust is to cease being ideological and political water-carriers for the DNC, period.

I didn't have to. I've seen fake news first hand promoted by right wingers here on this forum (and on FB) for over a year now.

Fake news is real, widespread, and largely focused on the right wing, which tends to take what it sees in screens at face value as long as it's what they want to believe.

I've been blowing up fake stories in right wing media on this forum and others for years.

Fake news by fake sites like ABCnew.co, and similar ones have been parroted by people on this very thread.

Of course, a lot of right wing blogs (InfoWars, Breitbart, Gateway Pundit) don't bother with setting up fake sites, they just make the stuff up and spew it out.
