The media will get a much needed attitude adjustment this January.

This whole Russia stuff is just so weird...

Now think about this...... Even if this nonsense was true what is the whole Trump-Russia connection because I really don't get the "end game" of it all.

    What is the actual theory?

Why would Putin want Trump to be president over Hillary?

It makes no (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*) sense whatsoever.......

I haven't moved the goalposts at all. N

In your defense of your use of Brian Williams, you spend a lot of time dancing past the FACT that Bill O'Reilly did the same thing, and his loyal fan base not only forgave him for lying to them, they loved him for it.

Again, you listed three examples over the course of fourteen years, and added the Rolling Stone screw up for good measure.

But you never established a pattern, only listed isolated incidents.

You gave four examples. I would have no trouble lising four examples, but I wouldn't have to go back 14 year. I would only have to go back 14 months. Not only that, I could easily establish a pattern in which all of right wing media, from blogs, through right wing talk shows to Fox News gleefully participated in perpetrating the lie.

Newsweek ran with its narrative. Right wing media runs with its narrative, true or not, every single day.

With regard to your comments on the one New York Times headline that you didn't like, you need to make up your mind. Are they appealing to their fan base, or are they failing because they don't appeal to thier fan base.

Since you think the purpose of news is to entertain a fan base, as you have said repeatedly, one wonders which it is.

OF course, in reality, the Times headline reflects the anxiety of the entire world over the treat of Trump, and mentions a couple of domesting groups that opposed him as well. This is an accurate reflection of the world view on this man, even if it doesn't appeal to your prejudices.

As I said before, you have a lot of choices in modern right wing yellow journalism. They will all tell you exactly what you want to hear.

You won't be well informed, but you'll find comfort in knowing that the world view they show you is exactly like the one you already believe in, factual or not.

You don't seem to care about facts, so enjoy!

    Is that a serious question?????????

Of course, Putin want the US to be led by an arrogant, inexperienced fool who has announced that he wants his country to retreat from world power.

Russia is already moving to capitalize on their victory.

Russians are putting nuclear missiles in Kaliningrad, inside the territorial limits of the EU. This is a provocation that any previous President would have responded to immedately. It would have been a crisis in the Cold War.

Russians are also moving to consolidate their effort to prop up their client state in Syria, endorsing and participating in war crimes in Alleppo, while the President elect plays at Celebrity Cabinet Apprentice.

Vladimir Putin plans to re erect the Iron Curtain. And he has a useful idiot coming in to the White House who will let him get away with it.

    Putin is counting on it.

You didn't answer my question at all...

Are you saying Putin is trying to reestablish the USSR?

If that's what you're saying then I agree with you and I think he would like that, but you know what? democrats would love to see that communsit (*)(*)(*)(*) rise again.

If it matters to you I wouldn't trust Putin as far as I can throw him but that doesn't mean diplomacy is out of the question......

It's quite clear that Hillary created ISIS and she finds Putins attempts at stopping ISIS as a personal attack......

I would have absolutely no proble working with Russia to destroy that ISIS extremist Islamic trash - no that little asshat Hillary wants to destroy Russia and groom that extremist cult....

Yea, presently Russia and the US have the same concerns and working together would be a good idea...

    It's all you've been doing.

Your original argument was that when pressed, people who find fault with the press can't name any lies. I named some huge press scandals involving lies no one could possibly have missed unless they were in a coma. Your response can best be characterized as "You didn't mention O'Reilly so your argument is invalid." I mean, c'mon - really? And when You say they're all old examples, I throw in the RS article where you had a HUGE lie painted out as part of their narrative and you're like, so what?

Yeah - you're not arguing in good faith here. I mean, I could keep discussing it but - *shrugs*

True. They have demonstrably disintegrated since the purchase by Bezos. WAPO seems more interested in mining stories from Facebook, Twitter, etc than developing their own journalistic content.

Russian missiles in Kaliningrad, War crimes in Aleppo, and you're mad at Trump? I'm curious, but do you know who has actually been President for the past 8 years?
