I am just getting started on this one.......... but I thought that some of you might want to dig into this at the same time that I do so.

This might go a long way toward explaining what a "spirit of religion" is that I have heard my wife refer to?????!

From what I have read so far...… I would guess that the good guys in this book...… "The Invisible College," correspond to the group that near death experiencer Dr. George Ritchie was shown during his NDE.

I certainly agree with the author on the following major point.

    http://revolutionaryspiritualism.yu...iH-Chapter-1-The-Search-for-Spiritual-reality

I am convinced that reincarnation is a truth that was edited out of the Christian scriptures for exactly the reasons given in post #1 here...…

    http://www.politicalforum.com/relig...hy-reincarnation-edited-out-christianity.html

Why reincarnation was edited out of Christianity?

Dennis I don't want to spoil the book, but it's a spiritual book written in code and thus it isn't meant for you and me.

The only positive aspect is that the spirits want to see the look on our faces to know what our reaction is to the concepts in it... :reading:

Well, I don't want to be a downer but I didn't like the book. It made me sigh and in some places it irked me. I can't go into specifics because there were several places that it happened and there was a big volume of stuff to digest so I don't remember the specific instances.

I must admit I didn't read every word. Later in the book it takes a Question and Answer (Q&A) format. I just read the questions and only when the question interested me did I read the answer. So, I might have missed some concepts.

Dennis, I'm not with the invisible college. I'm one of those left out CRAZY spirits.

Like you......... I also found what I read so far to be somewhat depressing but.......
I was really glad to encounter such a high level of honesty about what is really going on......
I am basically religious..... so I would like to think that religion wasn't quite so messed up.....
but frankly.... Spiritrebel is correct.............. we religious people cause a lot of wars by
    putting our dogma above truth...........

I would like to think that I am in contact with the higher level of understanding that Dr. George Ritchie met during his NDE..... So I also....
am hoping that I am not exactly part of the Invisible College either......... but with a Cyrus mantle....... I am relieved to have found a
group that I can certainly work with..........

    Dennis,

You can't have gotten that far in the book. I didn't want to spoil this, but just wait until you get to the parts (multiple) where it basically does a 180 degree jump and says: "that's what was said to fool the spirits, but here's the real story..."

If you believe man had the power to edit the bible into what they wanted instead of what god wanted then you do not believe god exists and this whole discussion is pointless. Do you think god was sitting up in heaven going, "no....don't put that in there, that's not what I wanted".

On the other hand............. was Emperor Constantine nominally a Christian?

Yes... I think that he was!

But was he free to put pressure on the Roman Catholic Pope and Bishops of that time to favor the books that were in agreement with the doctrines that he could understand at that point in his conversion?

Yes.... I think that he could!

Back in 1988.... could I have understood and related to this comment by Bruce F. MacDonald?

    No!!!!!!

If I had not read hundreds of near death experience accounts I would not have been prepared to be able to accept Bruce's analysis when I finally received it.

Why reincarnation was edited out of Christianity?
On Saturday I began a Facebook group entitled Barbro Karlen and Anne Frank after one of the most famous cases of a child remembering a past life.

Yesterday I got the most logical explanation I have ever read as to why reincarnation may have been edited out of the Christian scriptures:

Spooky.... this is going to sound strange to you but..... the Jewish Bible has received the stamp of approval of Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus.

    Luke 24:25
"Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:"

The Prophet Jeremiah accurately predicted that in the "latter days"...... we would be able to do a good job of discerning which books that were rejected by Pope Jerome that should probably have been canonized as well.......

    Jeremiah 23:20
"The anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly."

Could we considered the anger of the LORD perfectly five centuries before the "latter days?"

    Maybe not!

    But what about this verse?

    Rev 22:18
"For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things,
God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:"

It sure looks like humans have been given the authority...... to attempt to alter scriptures.

Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus put his stamp of approval on the Jewish canon as it existed at his
    time period.......

but it was a fifth century Pope........ who may have been quite biased..... who approved the
Christian scriptures in their present form.

    Luk 24:25
"Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:"

    What about it?

That just verifies what I said. If reincarnation was edited out of the bible it's because it is what God wanted done.

Do you really think that the book God uses to bring people to him will be allowed to be altered in a way he does not wish? You will notice that in none of those versus does it say the book will remain changed against gods wishes.

    Spooky..... you are absolutely correct......

G-d and H-s Moshiach/ Messiah and the Holy Spirit.....

wanted to test.... H-s Bride..... H-s church...... H-s army......

to see if they would obey and live by what he told them to do!

    Matthew 5:25
"Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary
deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison."

If...... at this time in history when we have access to information on virtually every subject......

if we remain ignorant...... and overly dogmatic...... and far too simplistic.... in our understanding

of the words of Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus...... and if we lie.......... and accuse our adversaries of lying......

when in fact they may well be eighty or ninety percent truthful in what they are saying.........

then we are guilty of cowardice..... in fearing the opinion of the little biddies from church......

more than we fear our Messiah!

    Revelation 21:8
"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers,
and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."

Congradulations on reading chapter 3. You still have far to go. You're still in the first section of the book.

Here's the table of contents from the PDF version, It's a long book:

Yes... a long way to go.

Interesting... but a bit depressing...... I like to mix it up with something more positive like re-reading an NDE account or two.

Oh, well I didn't believe everything so I wasn't depressed. I was more interested in gleaning any new spiritual clues or insights Spiritrebel might have.

True.... what Atheists did in Russia, eastern Europe, China and in the Communist world is shocking.

I read the book about the life of Richard Wurmbrand......."Tortured for Christ"

.... Adherents of Atheism behaved much like the leaders behind the Spanish Inquisition......

Don't feel too bad about that........
it seems to me that the Invisible College.... do not even see who is walking beside them..... any time that he chooses to do so.

Are you still reading the book Dennis? Because I'm not. :)

    How's your progress???
I don't want to spoil it, but it switches tone twice: once in the middle of the book and once toward the end. Basically everything that came before it was a "lie," a trick, the writer claims that he does that to trick the spirits, or something. :p

    Interesting!

No..... I haven't made any progress on it since I began this discussion. The writer is quite intriguing though because he and I are mutual friends, (through the internet)...... of the author of The Petra Project that I believe is really needed for the next five years.
