More than 100 faculty members from universities across the United States have signed a statement warning that the threats to the electoral pillars of American democracy have become so serious that they require urgent corrective federal legislative action.

The “Statement of Concern” has generated attention within the United States and internationally. Eleven Harvard University scholars have signed the statement, including six from Harvard Kennedy School—among them some of the most prominent academic analysts in the country on issues involving democracy policy and practices.

 

So what are people who are already running around in circles with their arms flailing supposed to do with this alarmist media product?

Maybe if we had secure elections we wouldn’t have so much mistrust in elections but democrats are now pushing what they claimed made elections insecure all the way up to 2018. Anyone not on board are labeled as wanting to suppress the vote and the gullible fall for it.

 

The closest thing we have to fascism in the U.S. is government lies and mandates. That has nothing to do with political parties or the citizenry. There are a lot of democrats who fight against election security, however.

 

Bill Maher isn't the first to make that observation. You'd have to be def and dumb, living under a rock to not have come to those conclusions.

If, tRump and the tRumpublicans pull off getting him back in office they won't stop there. Their end game is autocratic presidency for life.

Of course once that's accomplished government By The People will be OVER. No more Constitution, no more Bill of Rights.

The logistical nightmare required for one party to tamper with the national internal voting apparatus, by it's extremely decentralized design, requiring hiring of operatives and installed in place in at least a dozen key states, months in advance, keeping everyone under the radar, is a well nigh impossible task, which precludes any possibility of a party rigging the election internally.

It can be done, externally, via gerrymandering, voter purges, limiting ballot access in urban areas and colleges, and republicans are notorious for doing that.

IN short, the only one's cheating, though they do it legally, are republicans

 

Clearly Maher struck a nerve. Otherwise you wouldn't be so adamant in your denial of objective reality.

 

I didn't watch it. I do not suckle from these media nipples and my nerves remain unstruck. I do enjoy discussing the psychology behind getting people to stampede like sheep. "Oh no!!! This is ba'a'a'a'd!"

 

The article in question is not a story an obscure essay I found on a Harvard professor's webpage.

The premise is a valid one for debate. I only included the video by Bill Maher because he explains what is going on in beautiful detail, which supports the position given by the professor.

That hardly equals 'click bait'.

Would you say that without the testing option, this mandate has moved into the realm of fascism? If not, what would?

 

The 2020 election was secure, the securest in modern history. Trump supporters are in free fall over the cliff.

I don't support forcing people to quit.

But, they are trying to stop something that is an existential threat.

Maybe it has to be done, to stop it. Fascism has to do with political agendas, not health agendas, health is non partisan. So, it's wrong to call it that.

Unless you can show that you are allergic, or something like that, get a note from the doctor, what's your excuse?

Get the shot. I got it knowing that heart disease is present in my family tree, I was worried by myocarditis.

But, the stats are pretty slim, so I got the shot, and I'm fine. Covid blew through my city and I am not hurt.
