Are you suggesting the National Guard and all the regular servicemembers from that state would simply follow orders and fight their families and friends?

Where do you keep getting lost? A single state and its “armed civilian population” stands exactly zero chance against the US military. You are fully aware of that fact.

Never is there going to be a battle of any magnitude between 'armed civilians and the US military.' When in history has any large revolt ever not included elements of the military defecting along with their weapons, vehicles and support infrastructure? You are stuck on some fantasy where the military fights a horde of civilians, but theres no reason why that would ever be the case. With a state goes its National Guard, most of its military installations including munitions stores and vehicles and many of the regular servicemembers who call that state home, with a large pool of armed citizens as additional resource.

It would be far more accurate to depict such a fight as the US Military vs the US Military, not 'civilians.'

I see you’ve detached yourself from reality entirely. Carry on.

Texas v White basically says Texas never seceded from the US. Some claim the right to divide Texas ended with secession, so it doesn't support that Texas can't be divided.

Yes it does. States can’t divide or secede. This requires an act of Congress. Dividing a state is the same thing as seceding. A portion of the state is seceding from the rest. Can’t due that, as I showed you.

You are assuming that America has the stomach to go to war with a rogue state. If California decided to leave, I wouldn't want our military going after them. Mexico could have them. They would fit right in with no military, no armed citizens, no water, and no electricity. I would let them leave if they will build a wall between us and them. Otherwise, we won't sell them electricity.

Well that’s just silly. California is the WORLDS 6th largest economy. Losing it would bankrupt the United States.

Silicon valley would move to Texas before the secession ink is dry, along with a huge number of California refugees.

YUGE assumption on your part. If they wanted to be in Texas, they would already be there.

Silicon valley is the only industry in California? I said "would leave". We do have Texas Instruments, AMD, Photronics, Qorvo, DXC, ........ The first integrated circuit was built in Texas and our low taxes keep pulling businesses in from high tax states.

Would you send your kid into battle to keep Texas in the US?

Is there a reason you need to make up an argument I made?

Which I pointed out was an unsupported assumption.
    Of course.

If any states were to turn blue, it would be Florida before Texas. The dem socialist governor in FL came close to winning last time. The dems ran a candidate who wanted open borders in Florida of all places. Andrew Gillium is a piece of crap.

They should've nominated Gwen Graham, but she had common sense which the left doesn't have these days. If anyone lives in FL here or follows Florida Politics, you tell me if I'm wrong, because I don't think I am.

The end of greedy, ignorant, racist corrupt GOP Presidents. Then the GOP can reform itself and get back to their core principles again. They did it within 6 years after Nixon and they can do post Trump. The Democrats need to get rid of their corrupt arrogant people too.

Texas v White has nothing to do with division of a state.

The issue is whether a court accepts the division of Texas to be already approved by Congress or whether it needs future approval.

It is not. The issue is settled. If Texas wants to divide, they need an act of congress to do so.

You say and I don't see why it has to be so according to the law. Congress approved Texas dividing and didn't stipulate when.

    Reality, first.

    No state will secede.

The state NGs would not obey a governor's orders to mobilize for such a war, and the President would federalize the NGs first. Any state official who resisted that would be taken into immediate custody.
