During a speech to 20,000 supporters in Manhattan Monday, Elizabeth Warren hailed Frances Perkins, who became a workers rights activist after the deadly 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire.

But Perkins had a less admirable and less well known legacy later in life — as a critic of the Brown vs. Board of Education Supreme Court decision that outlawed segregation in public schools. Americans, she said at the time of the 1954 decision, “should be nice to Negroes,” but not necessarily have to go to school with them.

Warren has some explaining to do.

Why would she praise segregationist democrats while attacking Biden for doing the same?

Warren falsely presented herself as native American for her personal benefit.

Its also come out that her ancestors actually hunted down native Americans for the trail of tears.

How can minorities trust Warren after her shady past?

Frankly I’m quite curious how she’s going to fix our supposed wage gap. Just give automatic raises and free jobs to any women that are interested, regardless of experience, qualifications, etc. just a flat 39% wage hike across the board in every industry to “fix” things? She’s really insane.

Nah, she will probably give out government welfare to women just for being women, either with a tax credit to women, or those who claim to be women, or with a general stipend of a set amount for any woman or someone claiming to be a woman. Either way, there will be a lot of new "women" in America.

After 3 years of blatant lies and corruption, only having gaffes will be a welcome change

Sure, what corruption has Trump committed again? From all accounts, Trump is losing money while in office. Minorities are doing the best they've ever done. Trump has to be the most incompetent racist and corrupt leader ever, or your masters at the MSM have sufficiently brain washed you.

Hiring people that are unfit for office, numerous corruption scandals revolving around his cabinet, hiring more lobbyists than the last two presidents did in eight years combined, emoluments, campaign violations, paying off prostitutes to not hurt his election chances, forcing states to abide by his environmental deregulations, a continual stream of unconstitutional legal maneuvers or executive orders... I can go on

Where did I say anything about racism? You know where you can put your strawman, yes?

Btw, all of the drops in his net worth are due to deeper digging by organizations after it has become apparent is is inflating his wealth (aka he is a liar). I wish it was true that the presidency is — as he said — “probably costing me from 3 to 5 billion” seeing as that his highest disclosed net worth was $3.8BN when he entered office so that we could see him broke and unemployable after his presidency.

You are talking about people who committed a crime before they were hired, and not found out till afterwards, that's not corruption, that's a misjudgment of character.

Typical two critiques against trump are corruption and racism, figured I nail both with one post. You didn't say it, just throwing it out there. Not to mention, there are people in the HOR who were upset that the impeachment didn't include anything about "racism".

He may be as broke as the Clintons were when they left office while trying to steal furniture?

It's amazing how once Trump came into office all of a sudden blacks are now doing great. Folks like you are clueless, I bet you don't even know to black people you could ask.

Two of those do fit this bill, the rest do not. I have to give trump one thing, his “misjudgment” of character is spot on. I noticed you ignored the rest.

I have yet to see anything that shows trump is a racist. Even if he has said racist stuff that does not make him a racist. Please don’t “throw in” things that people never said. It’s a poor debate tool.

For trump to be such a great president his supporters sure seem to justify him or compare him to presidents that are argued to be the worst in the history of the country. Why is that?

trump only tells the bestest lies

It’s like when the poll came out showing that race relations had improved and they oversampled white people. It’s was frustratingly funny.

All accounts. Even admitted so from few posts above. Sorry if you don't believe it, but you can always try to prove otherwise.

I didn't say "all of the sudden", I said best in history. May not have anything to do with Trump, but he surely hasn't done anything to harm them specifically as was asserted before he took office. Its not like Trump is a progressive like FDR or Woodrow Wilson who put minorities into cages or specifically wrote legislation that hindered their advancement.

Are the arguments going to be this desperate all the way until the election? Guys, there are legitimate criticisms of Warren. This isn't one.

She didn't praise the woman's stance on segregation. She praised her stance on labor rights. Calling this a "segregationist gaffe" is an outright lie. Though I'm sure, like so many other lies, it is one Trump will pick up soon.

And you love Thomas Jefferson and George Washington who are both slave owners. The people of the past while very imperfect are the reason we have the privileges we do today.

Campaign violations, did he funnel money to a hidden account or fly his mistress around the country on donated money? Oh, he spent his own money on something that may or may not have hurt his campaign and you think that is something impeachable.

    Cool.

I never said he was a great president, I don't even support him. I wont vote for him either. I just shine a light on hypocrisy and hyperbole. So, as you just said about straw men, "Please don’t “throw in” things that people never said. It’s a poor debate tool."

Yeah, and people claim Trump is a racist cause Duke endorsed him. Shouldn't it cut both ways?

Make up your mind where you stand. Don't use the hypocrisy of others to "justify" your own.

You would agree any monuments to or statues of Perkins should be removed from public though wouldn't you? She was a racist bigot.

That decision is up to the owners of the statues/the land they are on.
