Was Jesus aware of being Yahweh?

The Apostle Paul saw the resurrected Jesus. He had nothing to gain from saying that. He also had nothing to gain from becoming a Christian. He never talked about his mistakes in detail-he just mentioned them as an example to show what God can deliver people from.

Who knows what Paul did or didn't gain - but this is irrelevant. The point being made was that we don't know much about Jesus from Paul - and this is truly unfortunate.

Paul had a vision of Jesus - he did not see Jesus in the Flesh - nor does he believe that Jesus returned in the flesh .. Paul's resurrection is spiritual rather than physical.

What Paul gained or didn't gain is relevant. Paul having a vision of Jesus is proof of Christianity because he had nothing to gain. The apostles didn't recant after seeing Jesus. They would have had everything to gain from recanting of seeing Jesus. Paul didn't recant either. Why would a Jewish persecutor of Christians say he saw Jesus? He didn't brag about his past, he mentioned what he needed to say to show that God can change anyone if they let Him. What difference does it make if he saw Jesus in the flesh or believed that he saw Jesus in the flesh? Paul changed as a person spiritually and not physically, but what does that have to do with the credibility of his conversion?

Sam - The conversation was about Jesus - not Paul

    Are you really that dense?

Why would a god who knows and has planned outcomes bother testing for a result he already knows?

You might want to think instead of copy pasting your way through life.

I think it is an imaginary place, just as all supernatural speculation is.

As to you getting close to god. What do you find appealing in the genocidal Yahweh and his immoral religions?

Would you also like to be buddies with Hitler, given that they share so many traits?

I agree with all but your last.

The power of Constantine was expressed with inquisitions and that power to kill without question created a really powerful church that tried to control all though.

They scream for freedom of religion today, but sure denied it to others before secular law brought them to heel.

They have been shrinking since they lost the ability to convert with death and the denial of free thought.

Why it took so long shows the the dumbing down effect of religious supremacy in the general population.

    More lies.

Christians are not seekers of god. They are idol worshipers of a genocidal prick of a god.

Don't dare tell them that they are brain and morality dead for calling an evil god, good.

What you are saying agrees with what I stated . so not sure where the disagreement comes from.

The Church was quite divided over the nature of Christs divinity the beginning of the 4th century - there were many different Christian sects all over the place and Christianity had become fairly popular among the lower classes - as in "the soldiers". Constantine - following similar historical examples from the past - wanted to unify the people under one state religion

The elite were largely followers of Mithra / Sol Inviticus- which had themes similar to Christianity - Not that Jesus was depicted with the Sun-God Halo in early days and there were festivals in honor of Sol for a long time after Christianity became the state religion.

In any case ... it was Constantine that decreed the Trinity as doctrine - That Jesus and God were of the same Substance "homoousious" = Jesus was God. Then he put set himself up as Pontifex maximus ... usurping the position of Jesus - emissary between God and Man.

It was due to this doctrine that the persecution started - those who rejected the new trinity doctrine - and later the inquisition.

Well considering people don't actually die I would say your description of God is a lie.

    Your proof:

    Strawman Fallacies.
Saying cities in the Bible are real is proof that the Bible is real is like saying Kansas is real. Therefore, "The Wizard of OZ" is real.

    Argument ad Populum Fallacies.
"The Bible has led to the growth of the world's largest religion, and to the establishment of hospitals, orphanages, schools, universities, and the largest relief organizations in human history."

    False Claims.
For example. No evidence of any kind that Jesus was born of a virgin.

    Circular Logic.
Using the Bible to prove the Bible.

The Old Testament refers to Mary as an almah, which means a maiden, and maidens are unmarried.

I wasn't trying to prove the Bible I was responding to you saying that there is no evidence of any kind that Jesus was born of a virgin.

Indeed - not only the canaanites - but anyone else who was not of the chosen ones -

Funny thing though - not why YHWH spent so much effort on the Israelites because they sure didn't pay much attention to this YHWH fellow.

And can you blame them - who would want to have the God of flip flop as a regular God - God for war perhaps .. as this God is good for the killing . but not much else.in terms of day to day life . One day - this God tells us Children should not be killed for the sins of their parents and vice versa.. Good rule -- a rule of law principle .. one person not to be punished for the actions of another. .

Next thing YHWH turns around and tells us to kill babies and fetuses because of the sins of a some bad folks in our town started worshiping other Gods - and of course if the parents themselves had taken to such practice.

Who would believe such nonsense .. and of course they didn't - because this nonsense didn't exist in the scripture of the average Israelite at the time of Moses nor for many centuries after.

Yes, which I agreed with, except for this bit --- "a Church was all downhill after getting power".

Apologies if I was not clear.

I see the Church gaining strength and not going downhill, power wise, which is what a religion craves. All fascist entities like Christianity and Islam, like Rome, wish to rule the whole world. That is what makes them fascist.

Because of your unproven belief, you are willing to chum up to a genocidal prick of a god.

Thanks for showing your corrupted moral sense.

You stand as a good example against belief.

The Canaanites were judged because of sin not because of their ethnicity.

    By a G D genocidal prick of a god.

Try to answer the question next time instead of doubling down on your genocidal prick of a god.

Have you no shame or sense of justice in you?

    Pathetic piece of garbage.
