That's a way of saying that there is nothing wrong with me, it's those damn racists. (Or anti-feminists, or whatever) It's the go-to excuse type for any on the left that aren't given free rein and approval.
That response kind of validates the consensus that the person isn't qualified for the job.....

I think the whole country is ready for a black woman, not just a stupid one.

She makes up a lot of racism:

THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE: Kamala Harris introduces resolution condemning ‘Chinese Virus’ as racist.

It’s easy to tell who’s on the payroll, or at least on the team.

    Yup.

When you're too much of a hypocritical criminal creep even for the Democrat Party, time to hang up your ambitions.

Kamala is even less likable than Hillary. :icon_jawdrop:

I am totally ready for Stacy Abrams.

Is there a website where I can voice my overwhelming support?

Does Joe get good reception in his basement? Joe33030 right? I'll shoot him a quick text.

Biden has to pick a black female. He has no choice. Meritocracy be damned.

You think the person with most merit is automatically a white guy?

So do you think black people aren't able to be qualified for those things unless they are given a helping hand? If not then affirmative action is unnecessary.

Or there are still lingering effects of racism in our society that prevents perfectly qualified minorities from having those jobs and affirmative action is necessary to correct that.

It only takes a brief scan of this site to see racism is alive and well.

No. But if you say you will only hire a black female, you’re limiting your candidate pool to just 7% of the population. And if you exclude 93% from consideration, that's no meritocracy.

which 'black woman?" Definitely not any of the democrats..

I can name several good candidates based on their merits that the Left should identify as "Black women", however since they are Conservatives.. perhaps not "black" enough for the Lefties.

Oh I disagree. Because I think there are black women equally qualified as white men to be vice president. I don't believe that there is one person who is magically most qualified.

7% of the US is 21,000,000 people. That's a plenty big pool of people. Plus it's an irrelevant conversation, since Biden never said he was going to pick a black woman specifically and it's a tiny minority of people who are trying to insist that he does.

Evidence that there is lingering racism in our society? Are you kidding? Some of the people who were yelling racial slurs at people trying to desegregate schools are still alive. What do you think they taught their children? I'm not going to play some silly forum game where I cite obvious examples of racism and you deny that they are. If you've never seen anything racist on this forum..........I don't even know what to say to that. But again, I'm not going to get involved in that silly forum game where I have to scroll through posts, do research, justify myself and all you have to do is go 'nuh uh, not racist'

A basic understanding of being a human being tells you that racism doesn't disappear from a society in a single generation of people. Obviously not.

I wouldn’t limit the search by race, religion, or gender. I would just pick the top person.

That's how us radical right wingers think.

    Yes.
I'm not interested in whether or not this family are that family racist I could care less. Nobody needs affirmative action for that.

what you need to show evidence for as systemic racism.

If you can't do that then your claim is false
you're not going to get involved in proving your claim you just going to make it and run away.
If it's still there it will be easy to show examples of.
