Was Kamala correct about racist Democrats not being ready for a black woman?

That's a way of saying that there is nothing wrong with me, it's those damn racists. (Or anti-feminists, or whatever) It's the go-to excuse type for any on the left that aren't given free rein and approval.
That response kind of validates the consensus that the person isn't qualified for the job.....

No. But if you say you will only hire a black female, you’re limiting your candidate pool to just 7% of the population. And if you exclude 93% from consideration, that's no meritocracy.

I can name several good candidates based on their merits that the Left should identify as "Black women", however since they are Conservatives.. perhaps not "black" enough for the Lefties.

 

Oh I disagree. Because I think there are black women equally qualified as white men to be vice president. I don't believe that there is one person who is magically most qualified.

7% of the US is 21,000,000 people. That's a plenty big pool of people. Plus it's an irrelevant conversation, since Biden never said he was going to pick a black woman specifically and it's a tiny minority of people who are trying to insist that he does.

 

Evidence that there is lingering racism in our society? Are you kidding? Some of the people who were yelling racial slurs at people trying to desegregate schools are still alive. What do you think they taught their children? I'm not going to play some silly forum game where I cite obvious examples of racism and you deny that they are. A basic understanding of being a human being tells you that racism doesn't disappear from a society in a single generation of people. Obviously not.
