is this site a publisher, they have a tos too, they can censor our content just the same if we do not follow the tos
Do you think Verizon should allow anything to be transmitted by their cell phone towers, or are they allowed to censor phone calls?
Youtube is just a political organization now. Thats all there is to it. Same with FB, Twitter, etc. Theres nothing wrong with being a political organization. Whats wrong is these political organizations trying to pass themselves off as something else.
we saw that when they banned the left, but not Trump and others from the right when they post false things
if you misuse a cell phone companies network and violate their tos, they could very well may ban you as for the call itself, that is private, they do not see it, is that what you want from youtube, no public posts, that would be more like zoom or whatsapp there are a few youtube replacements popping up, if google does not play fair, others will take their place
Not sure what you mean. What? Who? 'Posting false things' is part of free speech. People are allowed to be wrong...
they said they would not ban political ads that were false, so the left tested it by placing a false ad, they took it down Trump's false tweets never get banned
Im not familiar with this. It may help if you provide a some details by which I could look it up, or even better a source link... But it sounds like you (or the incident to which you're referring) are trying to equate the Presidents tweets to false advertising... which just sounds to me like a really lame attempt to justify censoring POTUS. ...but like I said, more context might help clear it up.
Anybody should be able to ban anyone for any reason. It's their site and their bandwidth, private property. If you don't like it start your own. It's not like there are big barriers to entry on the Internet.
Exactly. That is common knowledge. Why does the RW constantly come up with these easily refuted talking points?
I did not think you were, right after Facebook told congress they would not take down false political ads, this happened "Facebook says it took down false ad about Sen. Lindsey Graham" https://www.cnbc.com/2019/10/28/facebook-says-it-took-down-false-ad-about-sen-lindsey-graham.html "Facebook said on Saturday that it had removed an ad which falsely claimed that U.S. Republican Senator Lindsey Graham supported the Green New Deal, demonstrating that it will fact-check ads from political groups but not politicians." yet, Facebook refuses to take down false ads about liberals, Facebook is a far right platform, they said they would not fact-check political ads, but when it's one against republicans, they sure do fact check quick both sides just want consistency, for both sides to be treated the same
exactly, but the right wing demands youtube give them free stuff... the simple answer is... then follow their rules personally I think youtube should just let the advertisers decide to support them or not - advertisers will not support the violent crazy stuff for the most part of course the advertisers probably do not want that responsibility
I’d like the media to be responsible enough to label their product properly: News, Opinion, Editorial, Bull ****. Corporate Propaganda. Social Media is essentially a game of telephone so that would make their job easier. They’d merely need to “stamp” B.S. on everything.
