    What about medicare? Unemployment handouts? Defense? The drug war?

    Large sections of the budget should be slashed, not just the odd $10,000 in bureaucratic spending here and there.

    I think the rabbits getting the massages have it better than the mountain lions forced to use a treadmill. A guess it was a wall street fat cat being punished by the Obama Administration ;)

    The $10K to monitor grass growth actually makes some sense to me. My golf course donates use of some fairways to one of the state universities' ag department to do field studies on different grasses and chemicals. It also has a large extra green as a sod nursery in case they need it for one of the greens that gets damaged that they let them test fungicides, preemergents and the like on.
