Cops are going to render 2A meaningless. If citizens can't bring their lawful gun to the door when there's a knock in the middle of the night, then what's the point of having a gun? Sure you can have a gun, but if you use it to protect yourself, prepare to be shot by a cop.

What's the point of having a gun, if, in the middle of the night, where you are playing video games, there is an unexpected knock on the door, but you can't bring your gun out of fear it is a murder cop? To me, that seems like the best time to bring a gun to the door.

Maybe this will be the thing that undo's so much consternation in the country. A democratic mayor, in Phoenix, and police officers who are unionized. And events like this that demonstrate just how perilous being a cop is. I fall on the side of cover cop reacted badly, and worse, both cops allow dude to die because they are more worried that the female is a threat to them. I will venture a bet that Phoenix will pay a LOT of money to the woman for the trauma and the family of the man for his death. But the lesson here is that for some reason, these kinds of events happen all too often in cities run by democrats with police who are unionized. The knowledge of the union covering for the behavior and the complicity of the city leadership do seem to produce more of these incidents than in areas where these conditions don't exist. Perhaps it's just the symbiotic relationship and the graft that makes unionized cops so angry in their pursuit of the job. Things to consider.

I think we're forgetting the real cause here though. The neighbor who swatted them. Angry, petty, and completely set them up for this kind of ending. Had it just been a noise complaint, and not characterized as a domestic dispute, likely no one would have died. Charge the 911 caller for the swatting. Perhaps they won't get anyone else killed in the future.
