    Again, your own private opinion.

Correct, it's because the lower incomes have been taking more.

The majority of the lower income's money is spent on tax free items such as food, rent, and utilities. Most taxable goods are purchased within one's means. A new Maserati with a sales tax burden of $10,000 is not purchased by someone with a $30k/yr job. Instead they're buying a 10 year old Ford Focus with a $150 tax burden. Is a poor person going to buy a $600 pair of True Religion jeans and pay $60 in sales tax or will they buy a $20 pair of Wranglers and only pay $2 in sales tax? Now, it's not the wealthy's fault that many irresponsible lower income people purchase items outside their means.

Hey, honey. How are you? I know that the kids need diapers and we couldn't afford rent this month but check out my new bling. It really makes my tats stand out.

I feel you are uninformed. That is always a personal choice.

And you don't know what you are talking about know one Paris Hilton in the old days would spend more on sales tax on one of her shopping sprees that a poor family would in a year. Not to mention which a lot of states let you right off local sales taxes if your income is under x dollars.

Makes me wonder if those suffering from wealth envy also suffer from other envies. Maybe some lib college could fund a study to find out...

Then inform me, and I believe this part of my post that you replied to covers "personal choice".

It's not my responsibility to prove this:
You posted an opinion. You prove your opinion. If you can't, it is assumed it has no basis.

Can't believe I have to post this again. Do you see the nearly 100% rise in welfare spending in the last 11 years? Damn, pay attention to my posts so I don't have to waste time reposting the same figures/graphs.

No, I don't. At least not in your graph of Fed Spending. I take that graph to be ALL fed spending.

The idea that it is possible to tax the rich and get a government out of financial trouble is a pipe dream, no matter where they are. Members of the CPC in China and their entourages are not going to bear equal burdens with the common man/woman. The rickshaw hoofer is going to get the short end of the stick, every time. Always will.

Such a thing has never existed in the world, and will never exist in the world.

It does make a good political lie, however.

Wow, you really lack understanding. "ALL" fed spending for '18 was $4.4 trillion, not the $879 billion as shown in the graph. By the way that's not my graph. It's the Heritage Foundation's based from the Office of Management and Budget.

No. Your graph is poor. And no link to the graph to see where data comes from.

    Double WOW!!! Look at the bottom of the graph where it reads;

Source; Heritage Foundations calculations based on current and previous Office of Management and Budget documents and other official government sources.

It even gives the chart #. Chart 7•8 2427

I bet you were pretty terrible at book reports in high school. You probably omitted any necessary footnotes.

And for the second time, that is not my graph. It's from the Heritage Foundation.

On this forum, it's your graph. You reference it to support a position.
And it's also customary to post a link to your source so others can check it out. So why not post a link?

No reason to get so triggered. Just asking you to be more diligent when sourcing a claim.

BTW - book reports ended once I left Jr High.

Also, welfare is no less sustainable than defense or anything else the gov't funds.

Capital gains tax ... Part of Income tax.
Estate tax. Only when they die.
Luxury tax ...10 percent luxury surcharge tax on boats over $100,000, cars over $30,000, aircraft over $250,000, and furs and jewelry over $10,000. Poor babies.
Property tax ... All homeowners pay them. True, most homeowners do not have three or more luxury homes.
Sales tax ... California total tax is 7.25%. New York City tax is 8.875%. Texas total tax could be up to 8.25%.

Ahhh, too lazy or too incompetent to do the research yourself. So then by your standards a link to an internet post validates the substance of that post. No wonder this country is failing in education.
