"Theresa May accuses Putin's regime of seeking to meddle in Western elections.
    • Prime Minister says the West must resist Russian propaganda war.
    • She accuses Russia of using fake news websites and social media to "sow discord" in the West.
    • She calls on Putin to choose a "different path."
    Dear Mrs May,

Would you kindly tell me what evidence you have which moves you to dance to the tune of the US security services' badmouthing of President Putin? Thank you. Yours etc

    Cerberus.

    Dear Cerberus,

Who needs evidence these days? That's what 'fake news' means, doncha see? Now go away, and don't get above yourself, you silly little man!

    Love,

    Theresa.

    Dear Cerberus,
I say! Tickled pink to get your missive hope you are well.
The chaps at MI something or another tell me that these dashed noisome Russian blighters have at least 4,000 of these cyber agent thingymajigs employed by the FSB, GRU and SVR who specialise in outsourcing their activities so that they have... what's that phrase they tought me...hmmm ah yes...plausible deniability. Don't know what it means but when I chat to that little Putin cove he just says "not me you silly english female type!" and shrugs his bally shoulders. Well what can I say?
    Toodles
    Theresa

I'll have to get around to reading them - when I've got a few days to spare? I don't believe a word any of these 'intelligence agencies' say. Nor what NASA says either, as a matter of fact!! [IMG]

Have you seen the BBC news channel prog 100 Days - Plus, which was obviously set up for no other purpose than to denigrate The Donald (hey, the BBC at its best?!),which the two presenters do with a neurotic regularity? They had some erstwhile head ('talking head'? lol) of the FBI on it last night, and he was ranting on about Trump believing Putin (or Poo'n :roflol:) rather than the US intelligence agencies. And to give credit where it's due - he was saying it with a straight face. And the two presenters nodding in agreement with everything he said as if he were some kind of oracle. Honestly, I've said it before and I'll say it again - you just couldn't make up this ****.

Quite right too the guys lets face it the guys' as much use as a snorkel on a fish! Listening to it was funny as you say Trump criticised several former top Intelligence agency officials saying they were "political hacks" after saying in a press conference that whatever Putin tells him
...okay... so he takes as gospel what darth Putin tells him over his own guys... ah well....the fellas' got the intellect of a cheese sandwich so I guess thats about right.

Did you hear his qualification about his comments against former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and former CIA Director John Brennanon and the other lad at his press conference .. it was priceless...
So the Americans spend gazzilions of clams on their plethora of intelligence agencies (could be between four to seventeen but who's counting) and have legions of folk all working their tripe out trying to protect the yanks and their systems from all this cyber stuff and you have these career intelligence officers... the guys that actually run these agancies saying "well hold it their hoss this is actually happening" and this Trump wazzock says NIET! and then sucks up whatever Putin tells him!? Ya gotta love the guy. I bet Putin treats him like an old family pet spaniel; in he shuffles with whatshername tagging along and Putin tosses the lad a doggie bikkie and he rolls over, tongue out panting for a tummy rub while Putins' got his hands up whatshernames bra twiddling her mashynibblicks.

BTW I quite like those two on 100 days plus... yeah I know its the BBC...and...blah... but hey I got a soft spot for them!

One of their er, carefully-selected guest speakers last night said (I paraphrase) 'The whole world is laughing at us because of Trump and the undoubted Russian interference in the presidential election.' The two twerps, neither of whom is very bright - personable, but not very bright, naturally pounced on that drivel with their usual sneering while I was a'thinking 'Yes buddy, the whole world is laughing at the US, but not because of that, but because of the preposterous antics going on (forever. it would seem?) in Washington.' WTF has happened to a once great nation? Same as ours I guess - the rise and fall syndrome.

We have GHQ so you can bet other countries do it too.
Do the Russians interfere in the politics of other countries, yes. I think they do.
Just as we do to them.

Exactly, that's why the self-righteous indignation from the West is so funny. But hey, give a dog a bad name, and it'll stick??
