We really haven't had one since Jefferson. It would do us good to have a rational person in office for a while.

Bill Gates is everything Trump alleges to be times ten. He's also an atheist. Maybe he should run.

Yeah Bush said he was a "christian' and he was a mass murderer and war criminal...so much for wannabe "christians" as POTUS

I would hope we not only get a president who is non-religious...but that we get a lot more legislators who are non-religious also. I would be a marked improvement.

Although, I kinda hope they are agnostics rather than atheists...especially strong atheists.

The president of the USA needs to have spiritual protection, one can't have that if there is no belief in it. Though a bible thumper or sharia law advocate, or other flavors of religious supremacists are certainly not good, a potus with a strong spiritual grounding is favorable to one that has none.

then maybe you and your friends should move to Russia or similar secular society, china gov was anti religion recently then you can be just like them.

this country is what it is, if you don't like it, there are many places in the world where one could feel at home that not like the way things are in the US.

it has to be our education system that teaches children to think this way, it is obvious the US media tries to get the voting public to think this way.

Yes, the education system and the media are rotten to the core, but Christianity is onto them, that's why they hate it so much..:)
Paul said- "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil.." (Ephesians 6:12)
Jesus was onto them too, so they killed him to shut him up-

If...... a charitable organization..... were to convince President Trump and his family.......
to become actors and actresses..... playing the roles of workers in a family owned bakery........

and if.... a Gay couple were to come to the bakery.....
and ask for a cake.... what do you personally think that the Trump Clan Bakery
    would do?

I think that they would bake them a cake......
and possibly even cater the wedding if asked to do so?!

I admit that I could be wrong... but that is my impression anyway.

Sincere apologies for taking 5 years to understand NDE comments on Gay Community!

    ...
I personally am ashamed of myself for being a Christian who could not understand this message for about five years!!!!!

We had a "non-religious" POTUS, 8 years worth. You saw how that ended.

Obama was a decent POTUS. Besides, he still faked religion to avoid offending religious bigots.

People hate Christianity for the evil it's perpetrated, both violently and intellectually, against our species.

Why should religion matter? Most of our pressing political issues have nothing to do with religion. Bill Gates has no political experience.

Religion matters in the way any other problem matters.

    We sure did.
    • He pulled us out of the second biggest recession that Holy Roller Bush 43 left us with.
    • He didn't get us into any wars like Holy Rollers Bush 41 and Bush 43 got us into.
    • He got health insurance coverage for 25 million Americans that Holy Roller Republicans never could.
He accomplished those things because he believed that man had to do things. Although religious, he didn't think just praying worked.

But, I realize that you would be happy living in a Christian Theocratic Oligarchy thinly disguised as a Republic.

    Religion matters in many ways.
If leaders believe The God is on their side, they will do irrational things and Pray they turn out OK.
If leaders believe The God is on their side, they will promote nonsense - see Betsy DeVoss.

Do you think Trump is religious? The few times its come up he reminded me of Elmer Gantry.

Most religious have lived with the fact that while God is on their side bad things will still happen to them and they have to work just as hard as anyone else and that God isn't going to always help them with every problem.

Some religious people really do crazy irrational things that hurts their job performance but there are a lot of reasons politicians are terrible and most politicians are religious but only a few are terrible because of their religions.

Praying isn't harmful and is on the scale of knocking on wood or crossing your fingers. Its more like the placebo effect and takes relatively little time.

Her problems are inexperience, and over-reliance on capitalism rather than trying to help the most disadvantaged students. These are not Christian ideas.

The US barely has any non-religious congressmen (I believe none, but I could be wrong), I think non-religious POTUS is some way off yet.

Which bit of this is evil?..;)
Jesus said- "Love God, love one another, feed the hungry, house the homeless, clothe the destitute, tend the sick, visit the prisoners, look after the poor" (Mark 12:30, John 13:34, Matt 25:37-40)

I do not care their religion, I just want them to not try to force it on the people or other peoples children via the Government

I saw someone pushed Gates into the conversation. As in one of the most ruthless, unethical, tyrannical business leaders of our day? Thank Bill Gates? And that divergence from morality is what we need? Laughable.
