Our politicians are completely bought and sold of from special interests, donors, etc...Now, I don't agree with Trump a lot, but when he says that they have a lot of control over them, he's right. Whatever the donors, special interests, etc. tell them to do/say they will do/say what they want them to do/say accordingly. We cannot fix any issues facing this country until we fix our democracy first. It's a shame that Lawrence Lessig, dropped out of the race, because he is right. But the DNC and DWS never gave him a chance. And you know what the media knows this is a big issue too, but they don't want to talk about it because the money in politics goes into TV ads. Studies show the more money you got to win a race, the likely you are going to win the race. We need to get the money out of politics. Democrats are just as guilty as Republicans when it comes to this issue. And 80%+ Democrats and Republicans both agree that it is a big issue. The question is how? We all know that if we continue this route, this country will way downhill, it's inevitable. So do we push for an amendment? Our fore fathers were brilliant to give the people the power to push for an amendment against tyrannical government. What are your thoughts?
The same people complaining about this are the ones who let it happen. The American people are more interested in American Idol and football than who is running the country, and who they get their money from (ie, who they are doing favors for at the expense of the voters).
