Given that the size of the 2017 inauguration pales in comparison to the 2009 in size and show, were the heck are the rest of the funds. This event did not cost anywhere near $107 mil........have the unspent funds been refunded?

Where is the "donation" of $37 million to "charity"?

Did it go to the bogus "Trump Foundation" instead?

I posted this yesterday in another thread.
‘Phony numbers and front groups’: Trump’s inaugural donor list contains massive evidence of fraud
    http://www.rawstory.com/2017/04/pho...onor-list-contains-massive-evidence-of-fraud/
Trump smashed records this month with a reported $107 million dollar worth of donations to the “58th Presidential Inaugural Committee”—doubling the amount received in 2009 by former President Barack Obama. But a deep dive intoTrump’s Federal Election Committee filing, spearheaded by the Huffington Post’s Christina Wilkie, presents evidence that a large number of donors used “phony records” or are “front groups.”

In one case, Marion Forcht of Corbin, KY donated $50,000 to the president’s inaugural committee. His wife Terry also donated $50,000. Forcht owns Forcht Insurance Agency, with an estimated annual revenue of $134,500. In another, “GLM Development” donated $100,000 to the president—with an estimated revenue of $146,000. In yet another, Isabel T. John of Englewood, NJ donated $400,000. The problem? There’s no record she exists.

I have heard from news reports that the Trump Administration
is refusing to account for the unused portions of the funds raised
    for the inaugural.

TRUMP INAUGURAL COMMITTEE FALSELY LISTS BIG DONATION FROM “HIDDEN FIGURES” HERO
    https://theintercept.com/2017/04/20/donald-trumps-inauguration/
THE 58TH PRESIDENTIAL Inaugural Committee, the campaign entity used to fund Donald Trump’s inauguration and related festivities, claimed in its official filing with the Federal Election Commission that it received a $25,000 donation from Katherine Johnson, the distinguished NASA mathematician and physicist. The filing listed her address at 1 NASA Drive in Hampton, Va., the location of NASA’s Langley Research Center. Johnson, who is retired at age 98, does not live at the research center.

Eugene Johnson, who described himself as a friend and power of attorney for Katherine Johnson, told The Intercept that the “donation is fake, she did not make that donation.”

It is also a privately funded event. What makes you think any of the above is your business??

Pales in comparison to the nearly half BILLION Obama gave Solyndra, who then "went broke", but managed to make a large contribution to the Obama re-election fund.

Out of taxpayer money, NOT private donations...

so what? Doesn't excuse the "fake" donors who contributed big money or explain how a venezuelan business man who's daddy contributed $600K got a private meeting with Bannon and other NSC members (his bootlicker most likely) shortly after the inauguration. But hey look over there, not over here!

Looks to me like the private donations to Trump's inauguration covered more of the cost to taxpayers than Obama's.

yes I'm familiar with this fallacious argument.
"Your corruption is just as bad if not worse than ours" and anyway you got away with it so why can we?

Not that I am at all surprised.

i strongly suggest you hit rewind and review the odd shift in "republican" opinon about things, like bombing oh say bombing syria and their position on debt ceiling and jobs bills and the like.

If your particular memory does not possess a rewind, I strongly suggest you go back and read your very own posts from say three years ago or so. Call out hypocrisy on the left to cover for the gross and blatant hypocrisy in action of the self righteous right. Hey man, what ever works fer ya.

Trump is using our country as his private sales office. Presidents are not allowed to profit from the office. It's illegal.

    Everyone is watching this carpetbagger.

The insane rightwing billionaire from Las Vegas, Sheldon Adelson, whom conservatives never seem to talk about, kicked in 5 million bucks for the inauguration, money that disappeared. And what a fine inauguration it was, with top entertainment like Three Dog Night. Jesus Mary and Joseph. Sheldon is extremely addled, these days...
