Why are the Dems nominating a "place holder" instead of someone qualified and capable?

Theres a certain type of Dem that will simply celebrate anything the party does. They worshipped Hillary and they worship Joe. They don't know why.

The impression I get from most leftists is that Joe is just their next turd sammich. He's not anyone's first or even second choice. He's the product of a heavily divided party. Its almost like since they couldn't agree on a favorite, they settled for the choice that everyone equally opposed. Which is why he'll win the nom and lose the election.

Can you show proof of that? Here we had the two biggest Blue states hiring the Chinese to build their bridges and roads for them when Obama was looking for good jobs to fill.

Why did Republicans nominate a megalomaniac, game show host?
There are many reasons I don't belong to either party.
The last two Presidential elections have been the choice between really poor and crap.

We really, really need a viable third party.

No, not in my ideology or the way I look through clear colored glasses not tinted red or blue. Both Trump and Hillary Clinton disgusted me, in my opinion neither ought to become president. Hence, my vote against both by voting third party. Which with 9 million other third party voters in 2016 voting against both major party candidates, I was far from being alone in that.

I would have voted for John Kasich or Mark Rubio had they won the nomination, but not Trump. In fact I would have voted for any other Republican against Hillary Clinton other than Trump and any other Democrat against Trump other than Hillary Clinton. I won't vote for Trump this year either. Biden is fine with me. Now there were other Democratic candidates I wouldn't have voted for against Trump, I would have reverted to third party once again. Bottom line is regardless, my vote wasn't going to Trump, period. But that wasn't an automatic vote for the Democrat as that depended on who they nominate.

In my book, candidates matter. Candidates matter, not political parties. I have no use for either major party, so it boils down to the candidates each party offers. Trumps obnoxious and uncouth persona, his very unpresidential behavior is what I dislike the most about him. Trumps habits of throwing temper tantrums, usually via twitter and his name calling like a four year old brat who's parents forgot to teach him any manners is the clincher as for my not voting for him.

It's not Trump's policies and his stances on issues, I supported him on some, opposed him on others just like every other president in my lifetime. It is the man himself I can't stand. Not what he did or didn't do as president. When Trump made the comment that McCain wasn't a good soldier because he got caught, then dissed a gold star family who lost a loved one in defense of this country, that was the end of myself even considering a vote for him.

Trump had no use for McCain, someone who put much more on the line for this country that Trump could even think of doing. Yet, Trump had to bash him, bad mouth him and create a very needless feud mainly because of Trump busied huge thin skin ego.

Yes, if that makes me a never Trumper, I'll proudly wear that. You'll find out that Trump's very distasteful behavior and his schoolyard bully persona is leading to his defeat this November than anything he has done as president or hasn't done. Watch and see.

Same here and I didn't vote for him in the primary and wrote in in the general. BUT HE WON. He IS the President. Yes I support most of his policies and when I disagree, as now with his claims of authority over the state governors and rescinding their stay at home and business closing orders, I say so. But Biden, no way, I lived through the Biden/Obama years and they were horrible and only improved as the Republicans took back the Congress and Biden is MORE liberal now than then.

For a crazy guy, he only wound up creating the hottest economy on the planet. Had the lowest unemployment for minorities in history. Had the highest stock market in history. Ended the longest war in our history. Fixed the VA when Bush and Obama couldn't. Fixed our military that Obama let fall apart. Got NATO to pony up 100 billion dollars in equipment to make it stronger. Was tougher on Russia than Obama. Got N. Korea to stop threatening us and shooting missiles over our Allies and returned our war dead and four political prisoners, after the Left said he was going to get us into a nuclear war with them. Ended ISIS as a standing army. Gave minority neighborhoods 100 billion dollars to fix them up, bring in jobs and make them safer. That doesn't come close to other good things he's done. Of course the Left doesn't know any of that because the Democrats and bias news won't tell any of it.

Thanks for sharing your alternate reality, the specialty of Lying Donnie. World's Laughingstock Donnie is a gaslighter; he has a really big mouth connected to the world's smallest brain with virtually nothing to show for it as president other than a pack of lies.

    Pack of lies?
How does having more people working at any times in our history, having the lowest unemployment for Blacks and Hispanics, in their history and having the highest stock market in our history and the biggest wage gains sense 2007 working for you? September 8 at 5:12 AM ·

    Record 157,878,000 Employed in August
“The number of people employed in the United States hit a record 157,878,000 in August, the 21st record set under President Donald Trump, according to the employment report released today by the Bureau of Labor Statistics,” Susan Jones reports for CNS News.
“The unemployment rate held steady at 3.7 percent. For blacks, the unemployment rate dropped to a record low of 5.5 percent last month. And for Hispanics, the... Unemployment rate was 4.2 percent in August, which ties the record low set earlier this year.”

“It’s been a lost summer for the Washington Post,” White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham and Principal Deputy Press Secretary Hogan Gidley write in the Washington Examiner. “Despite record-setting accomplishments in record-setting time, data shows the news coverage of Trump has been 92% negative. The most egregious and dangerous forms of this bias thrived this summer at media outlets like the Washington Post, which routinely masquerade opinion as news.”

A whopping 266,000 jobs was created in November, with 54,000 manufacturing jobs created. All the while Canada lost jobs. Economist are blown away and Biden predicting a recession.

Pay gains under Trump best since the Great Recession

Jan 31, 2018 · Pay gains during Trump's first year in office best since the Great Recession. The Employment Cost Index, a measure of salary and benefit costs, registered a 2.6 percent gain for the full year, tied for the best since 2007. That gives President Donald Trump the best wage gains since the Great Recession, easily topping any during former President Barack Obama's entire term.

North Korea just shot missiles this morning.
Unemployment will be higher when Trump ends his first term than when he took office.
GDP will have fallen faster this quarter than in any quarter in US History.
Just gave the Taliban authority in Afghanistan.
Will add more to the National Debt in on term than any other President. On track to add $7 trillion in just four years.
Will end his first term in a recession.
Will end his first term with higher unemployment than what Obama left him.

Overlooked on economy? Rising paychecks for blue-collar workers are shrinking the wage gap

Monthly reports on the number of new jobs and the unemployment rate can drown out important trends like these two: After four decades of worsening, wage inequality has started shrinking. And in a twist, America’s blue-collar workers are playing the biggest role in driving that reversal.

This may come as a surprise, because education is classically seen as a ladder up the income scale. Despite blue-collar workers often lacking college degrees, their wages have been accelerating faster than those of their white-collar counterparts.

For example: In the past three years, white-collar workers, the sector that the Bureau of Labor Statistics classifies as “Management, Professional, and Related Occupations” and which encompasses 40% of the workforce, have seen their wages grow by nearly 7.5%. During the same period, all other workers, a group composed almost entirely of noncollege grads, have seen their paychecks grow by about 10 percent.
