    Double standards....

Are you refering to what she had to say about Syria? What is the position of your beloved military junta on Syria? Do they support the same kind of popular protests which brought them to power or are they in line with you believing its all a US/zionist conspiracy?

What about Bahrain then? Does your regime support the protestors there or does Bahraini money hold too much sway in Egypt?

If you vote for Ron Paul or anyone outside the two party system you are throwing your vote down the toilet.

If Ron ran as a Republican thats a different story.

Third party just isnt viable on a National level, seems like common sense to me man.

Unless you're trying to get Obama re-elected again dont split up you're vote, its pointless

Ron Paul is running as a Republican and is currently only behind the neo-cons, Romney and Perry, in polls.

I know that many of his ideas seem drastic as compared to the current state of American politics, but he even admits it would be a slow process to restore liberty and sanity to America. He could not change it all, but he would change something, like getting us out of the middle east. Hear that, Libs?!

Paul will hold Congress to constitutional standards. That is a great start, showing the American people how it should be done.

    Ron Paul cant win man.

You guys know that deep down im sure.

Hes way to extreme for the majority of voters. It will be JUST like last election, Ron Paul near the bottom.

I for one dont like his isolationism.

Well if he got the nomination than obviously alot of people agree with him.

If he won the nomination he can beat Obama, but seriously who couldnt? Obama has nothing but economic devastation to run on.

My point is Ron will never win the nom, he never does. Its not even close.

People are waking up to the republican/democrat monopoly of lies. What we need now is for democrats to realize that Obama lied about all of his promises and is yet another socially authoritative crony who fooled them, and switch their party affiliation to independent so they can vote for Crazy Ron in the primaries.

    I see pigs, they're flying!

You will not like my answer. I think there is a good possibility that it will be the pseudo-christian Rick Perry.

I do not think he has ever lost an election.

This gu]y sill never be elected... The only polls he wins are the polls his insane supportertart and then vote in 50 times each. There is no turnig back weather you agree with the intervension in the middle east or not. Damage has been done and nothing but the destruction of the united states would appease them.

It's probably true the the extremist Republicans that control the party primaries will not support Ron Paul and he will not win the nomination.

One of the problems is reflected in the above statement though and that is that Ron Paul does not support isolationism. He supports non-interventionism and there is a world of difference between the non-interventionism and isolationism. Isolationism involved "protectivism" by high tariffs and disengagement from international activities whereas non-interventionism endorsed international diplomacy and fair trade. Interventionism involves the use of military or paramilitary force in international affairs and that is what Ron Paul (and Gary Johnson) oppose.

This is false as a change in international policies from the use of paramilitary and military force to one of non-interventionism would have a dramatic influence on how America is perceived by those living in other nations. If the United States stopped supporting the tyranny of oppressive governments and instead opposed them diplomatically it would greatly reduce and eventually eliminate the threat against the United States.

Imagine for just one moment what the Palestinian opinion of the United States would be if the United States began pressing Israel to comply with UN Security Council resolutions that, as a permanent member of the Security Council, it should have been doing for the last 60 years. What if the United States began imposing sanctions on Israel to force it to dismantle its nuclear weapons arsenal like has been doing with Iran which only presents a thread of producing nuclear weapons? Would Muslims in general and Palestinians in particular agree with this and support the United States in doing that which it should have been doing historically?

What happens if the United States begins condemning the government of Saudi Arabia which historically is one of the most tyrannical regimes in the Middle East. Al Qaeda was originally formed to fight the tyranny of the Saudi government and not the United States. What if the United States began supporting the Right of Return and the Right of Property for Jews that were forced from Jordan after the Israeli Revolution while also supporting the Right of Return and the Right of Property for Arabs that were forced from Israel during that same revolution?

There is so much we should be doing but are not and much that we are doing that we shouldn't be doing. If instead of using tyrannical military force to impose our will we instead endorsed and supported the ideals upon which America was founded we would find few enemies in the world.

Ron Paul won the CPAC poll 2 years in a row. Reconcile that with your statement, please.

Bachmann and Perry cannot win against Obama. Independents which are necessary for anyone of either party to be elected will not support either Perry or Bachmann.

Once again we would see another election where the "lesser of two evils" are being voted upon. Obama would be the lesser of two evils for independent voters if another extremist Republican is nominated. McCain lost because he was judged to be the greater of two evils in 2008. Republicans should have learned their lesson but the extremist segment of the Republican Party which predominately controls the nomination process are too mad-dog crazy to see this simple fact.

Abu Sina: No Ron Paul will not be our next president, but it isn't because Americans don't want him. There is more passion for Ron Paul than any other candidate. But...the U.S. Government already decided that he qualifies as a terrorist. They consider him an economic terrorist and should he win...well, I suspect they will make sure that doesn't happen...

Sorry man. Whoever we elect isn't going to end the wars.

How much do the tea parties have to do with Paul's poll numbers?
While very few tea partiers give the man even a chance, and most rather besmear him than give him a second look, the favorite tea party candidates mimic and take his talking points, his ideas, making them their own.
When we first conceived the tea party, in its original intent, it seemed a great idea. Then came BO, and another tea party/parties came about, and yes, I thought it was a great idea.
But what we see now are people grouping together, giving lip service to what it should be, without recognizing the very candidate and his ideals right before them.
What a let down that is.

Neither Dennis Kucinich nor Ron Paul would ever be allowed
to run on either the demoCrap or Repugnacan't ticket

But just for arguments sake - If one of them ever got elected
They would end up Bullet Riddled Crow Meat within a month

The wars are never going to end. This is only the beginning.
And as far as "New Egypt" goes, wow, what a bunch of crap.
No matter what the United States does or whoever is elected, the West will always be hated and the calls for our demise will continue as long as we support Israel.

The question is, why does the United States support Israel? Israel is a nation that blatantly ignores UN Security Council resolutions that the United States, as a permanent member of the Security Council, has authorized and is responsible for enforcing. Why are we failing in our role as a permanent member of the United Security Council? Many complain about the ineffectiveness of the United Nations but we, the United States, are one of the primary reasons for this failure.

Why isn't the United States demanding sanctions against Israel for having nuclear weapons? As a member of the NPT we have a responsibility to use all of the diplomatic means possible, including economic sanctions, to induce rogue nuclear nations to dismantle those weapons. We impose sanctions against Iran just because they present a threat of possible nuclear arms development but ignore that Israel already has nuclear weapons. Once agian the United States is failing in our international responsibilities.

We, Americans, believe in the natural right of citizenship but take no action when the Israelis deny this right to Palestinians that were forced from Israel during the Israeli revolution. We support the Rights of Property but do not condemn Israel when it violates these Rights for Palestinians. We, Americans, oppose the acquisition of territory by war and turn our back on the fact that Israel has expanded its territorial boundries by acts of war. We oppose tyranny but ignore the tyranny of the Israeli government.

So the real question is why is the United States supporting Israel as opposed to fulfilling our international obligations when doing so also results in our abandoning the very ideals upon which America was founded?

The answer, to me, is a simple one. It is no secret that any politician's career ambitions fall under the scrutiny of both AIPAC and the Christian vote; both very powerful lobby groups who can make or break your career prospects.
It is also no secret that unless your policies fall into lock-step with the agenda-driven lobby groups I mentioned, your career can come to a screeching halt.
Sadly for America short-term political career greed is trumping long-term political justice for Palestine.
