I know Stevens turned down increased security because he wanted the business at the Annex to remain low profile. What they hired was some Libyans who worked for some cheesy, low cost security firm out of the UK.

 

The requests for additional security were sent to Tripoli in a cable but the requests for the additional security were for the make shift EMBASSY IN BENGHAZI.

“In light of the uncertain security environment, US Mission Benghazi will submit specific requests to US Embassy Tripoli for additional physical security upgrades and staffing needs by separate cover,” said the cable.

The thing that really enrages those of us who are called upon to SOLVE major screw up's like this one is that all we needed to do was fly a few F-16's in and low over the CIA Annex and if there was time which I do not believe there was enough time do the same thing over the make shift embassy.

THAT ALONE would have saved lives!!

The U.S. Military Leadership that was in a position to make those overflights happen were told TO DO NOTHING by the U.S. State Dept. and U.S. Obama Administration.

THAT is why I feel what happened was CRIMINAL!!

You think they knew ahead of time that there would be two attacks by two different groups 5 1/2 hours apart?

Remember the Libyan's used CELL PHONE GPS COORDINATORS to get their Mortar Ranges that hit the CIA Annex.

They used cell phones to co-ordinate the attacks and the LIBYAN SECURITY FORCES KNEW IN ADVANCE an attack was coming as most just left 30 to 45 minutes before the attacks began.

Now if you have any idea just how capable the NSA actually is then YOU KNOW......WE KNEW IT WAS COMING!!

He was there to dedicated a joint venture between Benghazi hospital and Mass General to develop emergency services the next morning.

 

I hope President Trump doesn't tell the Russian we have aircraft in NATO countries. That's even a bigger secret Russia doesn't know. Remember, unless an interpreter along and in person, Russians can not read newspapers in English or understand media broadcasts that are in English.

Don't be absurd.. More than 7 oil companies were working in Libya and they all had good concession agreements. Ambassadors don't negotiate for Exxon of Philips or Total etc..................

 

Most of the deals were directly worked on and made by those at the CIA Annex but the Ambassador was the person that placed value and validity to the deals just by his presence there.

Why do you think they set up that make shift embassy in Benghazi to begin with?

To work out deals and interests vital to the U.S.
