Kermit Gosnell was one of the best examples of someone working outside of government oversight and in many ways acting exactly like an illegal abortionist Here are some pictures of the “clinic” he ran Filthy and disgusting So what was so horrific that THIS was an alternative?
Numerous complaints came in, but the local authorities had neglected (or refused) to investigate. If there was a lack of oversight it was because the state medical board didn't hold investigating abortion clinics as a high priority.
Prove it (futile request, I know). Then answer the question: ""So what was so horrific that THIS was an alternative?""
I know you're in Australia so maybe you're not familiar with the fact that there are many poor areas that exist in America. These women probably didn't know anything better. Also I read that Gosnell kept a nice clean separate room reserved for his white female patients, so they probably weren't the ones who saw the worst it. Also keep in mind that these women were administered sedatives while they were still in the waiting room, so by the time they were led into operating suite they were probably out of it and maybe not the most acutely aware of their surroundings. Although there was at least two reports of mice scurrying across the floor of the waiting room (which is why they had a cat).
Let's just say they wanted to terminate the creation process. Pull the cake out of the oven before it was finished baking...
No, there is no "baby" killed in abortion. Science isn't the frightening thing you seem to think it is.....fetuses are aborted , not babies. AND , no matter what YOU call it, it still is legal to kill it.
FoxHastings said: ↑ No, there is no "baby" killed in abortion. Science isn't the frightening thing you seem to think it is.....fetuses are aborted , not babies. In Post # 9 YOU state: ""Sometimes you just have to go the extra mile in order to kill your baby"" We are discussing abortion which has nothing to do with a baby. Fetuses are killed in abortion, that's what science calls them. It is YOU who are denying science. YES, they are ""Different stages of development of the human being""...and different stages have different names....why don't you just call it a teenager???.
I copied and pasted this from another thread because I do not think it got the attention it deserved: A study showed 30% of mothers regret having children and yet another study showed 95% of women who had an abortion believed they made the right decision. So what does that mean? More women regret their decision to carry to term than those who didn't? That says something about the less than child friendly circumstances a child may be brought into and the important decisions a woman must make. Some with more ideology than empathy can not seem to understand that. No one but a sick mind is for abortion. It is a crude form of birth control and it would be wonderful if it was not necessary but the woman should have the right to decide when it is necessary. That is why it is called pro-choice. https://closeronline.co.uk/real-life/news/mothers-regret-children-exclusive-closer-survey/ https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...t-regret-abortion-study-idUSKCN0PR1KP20150717 Anyway a pregnancy is a life changing occurrence and nontrivial decisions will need to be made. People judging, standing on the outside, haven't the knowledge, life experience or emotional investment to make the decision for her.
You know, that's a good question but not in the way you meant it. What alternative is so horrific that women would have their baby killed in the second or third trimester?
Or I could stay on this one and discuss the semantics of what to call a fetus. How about "little bundle of joy"?
Being educated one would think you understood that a fetus and neonate are different developmental stages of the same being
