Yes, but you are implying inactive voters are voting, and that's absurd.

The worst part of the argument, all it amounts to is that paper is being wasted when ballots are sent to inactive voters.

The whole purpose of voter purges is to prevent ballot waste.

It has NOTHING to do with 'fraud'.

I'm only aware of one or two state court cases that were heard and adjudicated.

It's a bit orthogonal but a dismissed court case says nothing about the merits of the case.

I know; so much stuff to make up, so little time.

I bolded the above for visual clarity, not for emphasis.

Is a president trying to expose fraud an enemy of democracy??

    What fraud?

You are confusing absentee voting with mail-in balloting. AFAIK mail-in balloting in the U.S. is only about 6 or so years old, and limited to just a couple of states until two years ago.

I've linked many of these same users to the Heritage Foundation's Voter Fraud database where they could see for themselves, even state by state. And this is an ultra conservative organization to boot. You can lead a horse to water, but pu can't make him drink if someone has convinced him that he isn't thisty.

    Ignorance is a choice.

I didn't get to college, for a variety of reasons. I did spend the last 26 years of my career as a technical writer, and got that first tech writing job by demonstrating that I could write properly and coherntly (I had lots of samples!).

Thanks. Nice to know that I haven't lost my touch.

It does if you look them up. Most were dismissed because the only "evidence" submitted was "someone heard someone else say" or "someone saw a couple of people near a van outside the polling place" or even less. Most were incredibly stupid.

    Grasping at straws.

It's a bit orthogonal to your point which is well taken, but the fraud in Chicago and Texas was sufficient to elect JFK in 1960 (and commonly recognized by the Kennedy campaign.)

Please do not ask for a link.

Surely, but how can anyone determine who that someone is? Even hard science from the experts is wrong some of the time.

What are the enemies of democracy?

    In a word, Trumpery.

Much has been written about White evangelicals’ central role in the fraying of democracy. More attention, however, should be paid to the damage the political movement has inflicted on religion itself.

The demographic — which remains in the throes of White grievance and an apocalyptic vision that postulates America (indeed “Western civilization”) is under attack from socialists, foreigners and secularists — forms the core of the MAGA movement. Many have rejected the sanctity of elections, the principle of inclusion and even objective reality.

The consequences have been dire for American politics. The siege mentality has morphed into an ends-justify-the-means style of politics in which lies, brutal discourse and even violence are applauded as necessary to protect “real America.” Essential features of democracy, such as the peaceful transfer of power, compromise with political opponents and defining America as an idea and not a racial or religious identity, have fallen by the wayside.

Bear in mind the strong Democrat push for wide-spread mail-in balloting began in 2019, long before COVID. COVID was just a great big golden Easter egg for them..

In your mind, how does 60% of any group believing in something prove that something is a big lie???

It doesn't, necessarily. But in this case we know the Big Lie is a Big Lie. So......how do you account for roughly "60% of registered Republicans" believing in the Big Lie?

No. I can't speak for some of the state court cases but all of the cases brought to the SCOTUS were dismissed for lack of standing.

Well, for instance, if one is discussing criminality running a stop sigh and murder should not be confused and mixed up.

But of course I am. The only farcical outcome of the 2020 election was the electee.

["Electee" doesn't seem to be a real word, but it should be.]
