Me: Oh well, we usually have a party... not this time, obviously. So it's just my wife and I. We had champagne, caviar on blinis with crème fraîche, smoked sturgeon on home-made rustic bread with cream cheese, and Belgian chocolate. We watched some of the fireworks on TV in other cities where it's already midnight. We'll probably not even watch the ball drop on Times Square. We'll probably go to bed early. I feel confident that 2021 will be a better year than the dreadful 2020. Happy New Year, my fellow posters.
In a couple minutes we are all going to the #1 local gathering hot spot of our little city - the bowling alley. Big. 30 lanes. Big bar. Pool table area. Arcade. Dance floor. Grill. It will be packed. There's no place else really indoors other than the biker bar or some of the other little bars where old alcoholics hang out. The bowling alley has something for everyone of all ages. It will be packed!
My wife and I had a nice Filet Mignon dinner with a glass of wine and will be going to bed in another hour or so.
