Some say the most influential jazz album of all time, i.e., Mile Davis going from the frantic Be Bop style of the time to more of a cool jazz - I believe this was out in 1959. If you don't like jazz give this a try and do so in the right frame of mind if you get my drift.

And for some back of the rack Rock. Ginger Baker's put out much better stuff with Girvitz than he ever did with Clapton IMHO. Listen to this with headphones.

Ginger Baker was great, I wish he had stayed around in the limelight longer like Clapton.

If you have not seen the movie "Beware of Mr. Baker" check it out.

Whereas someone like Buddy Rich was probably the greatest technical drummer of all time, Ginger Baker was one of the few drummers I have heard who is both a great technical drummer and also is a harmonic drummer. It is also impressive he could play in multiple genres including African drumming. Sad to say his health probably means he career is finished.

My other favorite drummer is Carmine Appice.
