So all the people on Welfare in CA are Illegal Immigrants?

 

Nothing can win back California for Republicans. Urge Republicans in California to move to Texas and Florida so those states hold Republican. California is a write-off.

 

The majority of people do not determine where they live by how they vote. California is an Oasis climate with enough water, the most salubrious type that exists. Florida was a climactic hellhole except on the immediate coast until the invention of air conditioning and Texas is a hellhole now

Do you honestly think most Americans even CARE that much about politics? We are unusual in that we even discuss the matter except every 4 years and even then only a bare majority of Americans vote. That is largely the way the US was designed too, the Founding Fathers looked on politics as something successful men did as an interesting hobby after retirement, the real business of life was elsewhere. (And this is one reason I am so certain Trump is gone, He BOTHERS us, and politicians are not supposed to be one of our major concerns)

People live where the climate is good. Overall, America has the worst climate in the world since it is the most changeable but California's climate is Mediterranean and there is a reason why that area is one of the linchpins of world history

You don't seem to know too much about America. California has terrible droughts and wildfires every summer. In fact, I believe they have their water piped in for them in a lot of locations.

Depends where you go actually, Texas is VERY big and it would be a hellhole indeed if some places were not nice. I've been all over it, however and have never been to any that were not excessively dry and hot

 

From the North mainly, the snowpack in the Sierras is why LA exists at all.

California is an Oasis, and Oases are the most salubrious climates that exist. "All sunshine makes a desert" as the Arab saying goes and water in the desert makes Paradise.

There is a reason that the oldest civilizations are on river valleys in deserts

 

The northern plains parts of Texas get very cold and get snow in the winter. Most of the people who I talk to who live in Texas seem to love it there, so I guess that your statements are subjective and based upon your own opinions.

Liberalism is a strong group think mentality that violently responds to the "threat" of opposing opinions. As a conservative when I meet someone who is a vocal Bernie Bro I ask them if they were born disabled or suffered a traumatic brain injury and usually leave it at that, but having grown up in Los Angeles I had many experiences where being a conservative meant that you 100% supported EVERYTHING the GOP was or had done, and was aggressively pressured into silence.

With a billion dollars I could turn California red in a decade, but the GOP won't even spend a penny.

 

A lot of people do move because of taxes and lower costs of living. That is why many retirees move to Florida.

 

People do it all the time. Three generations of my family called California home, and I left.

I left because politics and taxes had translated to my woman and I not being able to afford a home, while after a year and a half of living in Texas we're getting ready to purchase our second.

 

Then why do they wait until they retire? Lower taxes and costs are icing on the cake, people move to Florida because cold winters are really hard on old people. Young people either don't care or actually enjoy the cold (perverts)

You may be in a profession where your skills are easily portable, but the majority of people aren't.

 

My skill set is universally transferable with only minor barriers for differences in state licensing, although my wife is limited to larger metropolitan areas.

My point being was that tax policy has long ranging implications, and that was my exact problem. California's Prop 13 froze valuations for property purchased before 1976, and limits appraisal increases to 2% a year. While it's the only reason my mother is capable of living out her retirement in the home she'd owned for 42 years(as at the current valuation even with California's rock bottom property taxes 1/3 of her income would be consumed), it keeps a lot of property off the market, which pushes up prices.

 

If your wife is conservative then naturally she would be more inclined to be smart. It is not giving up her state, but strategically leaving the sinking ship before disaster strikes. California is the Titanic, it is going down, you can wave it off at the docks or pray you get a seat in the lifeboat. Plus a California conservative is a special breed, you'll need some time to adjust to wherever you land, best to do it sooner than later...

 

Democrats have been importing and breeding their own constituency of illegal aliens and welfare-sucking parasites for decades! So long as a person does not even have to prove legal citizenship of this country, and, so long as a person can take handout welfare from the government BUT still be allowed to vote, nothing can be done to correct anything.

California has become the central problem area for both of these phenomena -- illegals, and welfare-sucking bums. Imagine all the more disgusting, America-hating, ruinous aspects of Baltimore, Chicago, Detroit, and New York all rolled into one state, plus more illegal aliens than anywhere else! That's California!

The good news? They think that the rest of us are so "deplorable" that many Californians want to secede! GOOD! Let them go! Let them leave us BEFORE the next series of fires or earthquakes start sucking even MORE untold billions of taxpayer dollars out of the rest of the country to rescue them!
