If @Sobo claims to be white, then we're all white? right?

    I'm white.
I've been here for x amount of months (so many), and, no user here yet has lead me to believe they're anything but white.

    Am I right?

I'm usually a kind of pinky-peach colour but it's been very sunny recently so I'm leaning towards red in parts. Give it a few days though and they'll go flaky-white but that fall off so probably doesn't count.

My race used to be the 200 meters but my knees aren't up to sprinting these days.

I think you may be on to something. I've encountered two or three Black members on here, and one Mexican-American, and there's one very annoying anarchist with ancestry from India, oh, and one muslim woman living in England who defends to the bitter end everything that goes on in the Gulf Arab states, but for the most part what you say is probably right.

Also, on a slightly different topic, if we broke it down by gender, I'd say that probably 75-80% of the members are male. But that's still not as disproportionate as the breakdown by race/ethnicity.

started a poll here: What is your race/ethnicity and gender?

I've done that test too, and I also had my maternal grandmother tested.
Please, whatever your result, could you share them with us?

Well OK. Due to the time lag from test (about 14 days) to results (2-3 more months) I might need to be reminded which thread to report on.

I'm African-American. A Black man. I've heard stories all my life of mixed ancestry in past generations on my father's side and some on my mother's side but both are African-American and identify as such. I recently checked out Ancestry.com and decided to take the DNA test. I am waiting on results.

Based on genealogical records gathered from sources on their website I learned that my 2nd Great Grandfather, my paternal father's Grandfather was a blacksmith who married a White woman a few years after the Civil War. I looked her up and found out she was the Granddaughter of a veteran of the Revolutionary War and the daughter of a veteran of the war of 1812. In his will my 4th Great-Grandfather actually lists a "negro man" as one of his possessions to be sold. Some of his descendants have Confederate Flags as their avatars on their member pages.

Some of the census records list certain ancestors as Black and Mulatto for the same ancestor. I'll see if the DNA test turns up any of the rumored Native American ancestry and other information but so far the only known mixed ancestry that I can confirm from actual records comes from a Southern belle using her inheritance from the family plantation to marry a big, buff Black man during The Reconstruction era.

What does it take to be considered 'White'? Speaking English? Becasuse if many Countries have 'white skinned' natives, such as white skinned Persians, would they be considered to be of the 'White' ethnicity? What is the White ethnicity?

Or is this 'White' Ethnicity part of a socio-economic stratus more than a ethnic stratus? Do these 'White' ethnics go around terrorizing? Is that the reason they are called 'Whites'?

Then what's wrong with any color person or color 'group' that does not terrorize? Or is just the mere seeing of them terrorizing enough? Maybe it's the way they are always quiet behind their car's steering wheel, kind of as if they are plotting some 'no good'.

Many philosophers, both Eastern and Western, have said that he or she that barely speaks is usually up to nothing or something.

Are these the 'Whites' being referred to?

Her great-grandfather, John Hayne Herring, was an English immigrant who arrived in America in 1866.

    So you are English, also?

More specifically of the Cornwall Tribe?
    Cornwall, England, United Kingdom

Cornwall is a county in South West England in the United Kingdom.

Cornwall is the homeland of the Cornish people and the cultural and ethnic origin of the Cornish diaspora. It retains a distinct cultural identity that reflects its unique history.

Herring Name Meaning. English, Scottish, Dutch, and German: metonymic occupational name for a herring fisher or for a seller of the fish, Middle Englishhering,

    https://www.ancestry.com/name-origin?surname=herring

    And hence the geographical connections...

And so, the Great-grand Daughter to John Hayne Herring, would be:

    Mrs. Warren.

    From Herring to Warren... nice...

Warren Name Meaning. English and Irish (of Norman origin): habitational name from La Varrenne in Seine-Maritime, France, named with a Gaulish element probably descriptive of alluvial land or sandy soil.

Although the official recognition of The United States as being independent and Sovereign from The British Crown was recognized in 1783, in The Treaty of Paris, because of The Declaration of Independence to desire to no longer be under the Provisions nor Guidance of The British Crown, that separation is still being performed to this day. A slow and gradual complete separation of blood ties and allegiances can still be seen; as in this case with the great grand daughter of John Hayne Herring.

    Cornwall in England

The place of birth of her great grand father, which is a part of the U.K, will one day be a foreign place, maybe, and not 'home'.

And although Mrs. Warren's birth State is Oklahoma, even Oklahoma might be as a foreign State to her Massachusetts living, one day.

The same can be applied to Mr. Warren and to his birth State of California.

Would Mr. Warren know that his birth city, Oakland, CA has gone through and might still be undergoing the re-landscaping of its residents through gentrification processes?

Gentrification occurs on the private-collaborative levels of private monies holders and city.

Why would newly elected City officers and officials 'sell' out their own natives and residents?

Maybe because their 'home is where their heart is'.

Being an official to a poor social/economic city could be a damper on the newly elected officials if they come from more affluent places.

Why they even choose such a career path for themselves if they don't truly want to help the current/local residencies and problems, is more of a strain on the mind than them getting elected into office.

Would you believe that the Senator of Hawai'i, Mr. Schatz, is so popular among the Federal Senate seats that he was allowed to question Mr. Zuckerberg of Facebook, about certain Facebook/non U.S compliant things? Out of all the Senators, they chose Mr. Brian Schatz as one of the questioners although Hawai'i and Facebook and U.S. Federal are not as favorable as others. Not to mention Hawaii's own Lawyer who actually tried to 'sue' Mr. Trump, incumbent U.S President, of unConstitutional Law breaking with their false ideas of a 'Muslim ban' rather than what Mr. Trump had originally said, a 'Travel Ban'. Muslim(s) and Travel are not the same.

Mr. Trump never began a Muslim ban. He began a Travel Ban. Many misconstrued Mr. Trump's 'travel' ban as their own 'muslim' ban.

So if any Senator or City or State official is truly afraid of newly arriving 'Muslims', are they afraid of muslims or radical insurgent Muslims? Travel, Muslim or Radical Muslim? And if they aren't afraid of any radical muslim perhaps slipping in through the cracks, are they even actually for U.S. National Security or not?

Senator Steve Scalise gets shot in an open baseball field, Mr. Sessions gets attacked for certain words spoken, Mr. Trump is assaulted about certain words, and January 1, 2018, California legalizes recreational marijuana.

Be careful though, that you don't accidentally smoke this stuff...

Also known as: Black Mamba, Bliss, Bombay Blue, Fake Weed, Genie, K2, Moon Rocks, Skunk, Yucatan Fire, and Zohai

Spice is a mix of herbs (shredded plant material) and manmade chemicals with mind-altering effects. It is often called “synthetic marijuana” or "fake weed" because some of the chemicals in it are similar to ones in marijuana; but its effects are sometimes very different from marijuana, and frequently much stronger. Usually the chemicals are sprayed onto plant materials to make it look like marijuana.

Because the chemicals used in Spice have a high potential for abuse and no medical benefit, the Drug Enforcement Administration has made many of the active chemicals most frequently found in Spice illegal. However, the people who make these products try to avoid these laws by using different chemicals in their mixtures.

Spice is most often labeled "Not for Human Consumption" and disguised as incense. Sellers of the drug try to lead people to believe they are “natural” and therefore harmless, but they are neither. In fact, their actual effects can be unpredictable and, in some cases, severe or cause death.

    https://teens.drugabuse.gov/drug-facts/spice

Can I buy weed at a dispensary without a card?
Yes! All you need is a valid government-issued ID to show that you are 21 or older. However, regulations will vary by city. According to Eaze, "each city and county has the right to develop their own rules around cultivation (growing your own plants), distribution (having dispensaries or allowing for delivery) and sale (medical vs. Adult Use)."

Will I have to pay tax at the time of purchase?
Unfortunately, yes. Unless you have a state-authorized medical card (note: this is different from a medical recommendation you may have received from a marijuana doctor), you will have to pay sales and use tax in addition to your local tax.

Can I smoke anywhere I want?
No, it is still illegal to consume marijuana in public places, including within 1,000 feet of a school or youth center. If you're smoking in a private residence and it isn't detectable, however, this proximity-to-children rule does not apply. Similarly to open-container laws that make it illegal to drink and drive, you also cannot smoke or consume cannabis while driving or riding in a car, drive while high, or have an open container/unsealed package of weed in your car (unless it's in your trunk).

And remember, just because you're in a legalized state does not mean you're allowed to cross state lines, have it at national parks, or fly with it. You can be arrested under federal law for having a controlled substance.

    https://www.popsugar.com/news/Can-I-Walk-Dispensary-Without-Card-California-44484957

You’ll need a valid ID or driver’s license. And you’ll also likely need cash as most dispensaries don’t accept checks or credit cards.

The law permits adults 21 and up to buy 1 ounce of cannabis per day,

legal marijuana buyers in California "will pay about eight dollars more" for their usual $50 eighth of an ounce of "top-shelf flowers," under the new law.

    https://www.politifact.com/californ...1-facts-you-should-know-about-californias-le/

1/8 ounce at 50 dollars. 8/8 ounce or 1 full ounce is 400 dollars?

    Per day, cash?

It would have been interesting to know more about their history ! I met a man in France who had native american ancestries, even if he is white. Some of their ancestors were from new France and were sent to France after the 7 years war.

Everyone posting here is the same race. Human race. I am not aware of any thing other than humans posting on these forums.

Many gave their nationalities, confusing that with race?

You make a good point about those confusing Race with Nationality.
Of course, that somewhat admits there are Races...... which you say don't exist.

Of course, one of the issues in this section, and science, is IF Races exist among humans.
I personally have made scores of posts on this topic, virtually all well researched and backed, and my conclusion is an unequivocal Yes.. there are human Races/aka subspecies.
You need only look at a few threads below. (and/or other Species with even more similar, but still delimited subspecies/races)

Does a subspecies mean a different race? Or different species within a race.
Of course, I've done no research, except to find the definition of race.

    Would neanderthals be considered human?

You have to know what Race is to say there are none!
    Race is subspecies.
There is nothing within/or lower than that taxonomically... at least officially.. tho sub-groups can always be identified.
