Where does it mandate they buy a product from a company?

Do you believe the founding fathers believed in a free market? If so, where else would the healthcare being purchased come from?

Healthcare came from doctors, same as today. There was no such thing as health insurance sold by a private company at that time.

Since day one that the British Government was taken over by democratic socialists.

Yes, long before WW2 was even started.

We got lucky and got rid of FDR in time, or we wouldn't be any better.

I'm not a believer, but I somehow feel there is a watchful eye overseeing America's path into the unfathomable future.

    - - - Updated - - -

And BTW, democracy, as should be rightfully named "mob-rule", is an arch-enemy of freedom and liberty in every bit of sense.

Founding fathers wanting public education or liberals supporting public education?

No. What bothers some liberals the most is the latitude of construction exercised by alleged conservatives, who have no intention of laboring to make their words as good as any commodity.

Yet they acted upon wisdom that transcended their own human frailties, didn't they?

Would today's "racist elitists" (i.e. Liberals) have the wisdom to create such a great experiment in government? And craft a document as brilliant and far sighted and noble and fair as our Constitution?

    Hahaha!

No, today's Liberals try to step on the people they are supposed to serve, try to make themselves our masters instead of our servants and, like thieves in the night, try to impose unwanted, oppressive legislation on the people without their INFORMED consent.

You guys couldn't carry their athletic supporters.

    1) The world has never before seen the likes of Barack Hussein Obama. No one knew what was behind his suspicious aura and baggage and sudden arrival to occupy the WH, but to our credit, Conservatives and Rebublicans and smart patriotic Americans KNEW that SOMETHING was amiss. They couldn't help it that he was too crafty and cunning and conniving to allow anyone to zero in on just WHAT his game was or his real agenda and background might be.

We knew something was wrong with him from early on.

However, you DIMS and Lap Dog Libs and Lying Leftists STILL haven't figured out that he is a danger to America. And some of you are so fizzukked up in the head that you worship him STILL even AFTER SEEING numerous examples of what he is doing to destroy your HOME.

I swear, you are like children, who can be distracted and tantalized from pending or current hurt, harm, danger and disaster by the prospect of fighting Republicans and Conservatives while there is a sniper in plain sight picking off ALL of you, without regard to political party!

    You are just maddeningly dense.

EDIT: And if your response to this is going to be a typically liberal knee-jerk tit 4 tat attack on what I said without regard for the content of my heartfelt message, forget it!

Save us all the BS; we know how you function.

    That's the problem.

Rather than address the real issue you'd rather play gotcha with those trying to save this country and wake you up so you can help us.

When Obama is finished screwing us up, you will be in the same sinking boat we are.

Try thinking about that instead of your usual kind of mindless retort.

I bet that is the reason the Founders included Federal funding for education in the Constitution, rather than leaving it to the states.

You still having issues with that one sentance? Allow me to requote, and provide highlights:
"The law authorized the creation of a government operated marine hospital service and mandated that privately employed sailors be required to purchase health care insurance."

Sorry, but if you read the law, it says no such thing. Oh wait, you read it on the interwebz, it must be true. LOL

Please define what you mean by "the likes of Barack Hussein Obama". What is so alien about his "likes"?

Please define why his "aura" is suspicious.
Please define what "baggage" you are talking about.
Please define how his election was any more "sudden" than that of any other president.

Unless you can define some of these terms, it sounds like you just "didn't like the look of the guy" and decided to brew up some propoganda to justify your paranoia. Of course, what was it about his looks that made him stand out from previous presidents, I wonder....

    Maybe because there wasn't one?

You mean like pushing legislation based on religion and shutting down the government? Oh wait, that was conservatives...

Please site an example of what "picking off" you're talking about, rather than just spouting emotional nonsense.

    ditto.

You've said a bunch of heartfelt stuff, but haven't demonstrated that it's actually based on anything. Unless it's based on the real world, it's just a hissy fit.

Save the country from WHAT? You still haven't demonstrated a single threat to anything!

Please point out the hole in the hull of this "sinking boat". What, specifically, are you so "up in arms" about?

Try thinking about FACTS instead of your usual kind of unfounded emotional hyperbole.

Did you bother reading the law?
"Be it enacted, Sfc.That from and after the first day of September next, the master or owner of every ship or vessel of the United States, arriving from a foreign port into any port of the United States, shall, before such ship or vessel shall be admitted to an entry, render to the collector a true account of the number of seamen that shall have been employed on board such vessel since she was last entered at any port in the United States, and shall pay, to the said collector, at the rate of twenty cents per month for every seaman so employed ; which sum he is hereby authorized to retain out of the wages of such seamen...
That it shall be the duty of the several collectors to make a quarterly return of the sumscollected by them, respectively, by virtue of this act, to the secretary of the treasury ; and the president of the United States is hereby authorized, out of the same, to provide for the temporary relief and maintenance of sick, or disabled seamen, in the hospitals or other proper institutionsnow established in the several ports of the United States, or in ports where no such institutionsexist, then in such other manner as he shall direct: Provided, that the moneys collected in anyone district, shall be expended within the same

The fact that you don't WANT something to be true doesn't mean it isn't true.

Seems that the "interwebz" is at least a more dependable source of accurate information than the sources you rely on. . . which you do not even dare name.

Shall we guess you get your information from Faux News? Or directly from the mouth of Cruz and Hannity?

The system they set up allows for us to change that. Obvioulsy I am correct as currently a black man is POTUS in the same government you cite as being only male and only white. You can in no way cite the past for being what it was at the time anymore than 200 years from now someone asking why you werent smart enough to build a matter transport machine now.

It's a tax, in case you haven't figured that out, not insurance. There was no such thing as a health insurance product at that time. You have to wait another 100 years for that.

Um, you mean like the actual law which you can look up and which was linked in the article? Love the use of lib proxy words though. Shows the amount of actual thought that went into your post.

You can keep saying that all you want, but it doesn't make it so...

Sounds like you're saying the founding fathers were doing something that SCOTUS recently found unconstitutional... Don't you think that precedent would have had an impact if you were right?

LOL, so you are saying that the seamen were forced to buy a product that did not yet exist from a private company. Sounds like you're saying the Founding Fathers were in an episode of the Twilight Zone. Can't help you on that twisty logic.
