Both JFK and Donald Trump were filthy rich.

    Both have hot looking wives.

    And...

    I know, it's Yahoo News :roflol: -> https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/carly-simon-said-jfk-mistress-160000368.html

But it's not fake CNN news.

They were both rich kids who liked hot women, but that’s where the similarities end. Jack Kennedy had major health problems that would have prevented him from serving his country during WW II. He got his dad to pull a few strings to get him past the physical and into the Navy.

Trump on the other hand was a high school and collegiate athlete and was in fine shape but he got his rich daddy to pull a few strings and get him out of the service because he was a gutless puke.

Comparing Donald Trump to the late, great Jack Kennedy is like comparing a pile of dog crap to a bottle of 20 year old Scotch.

Just curious about your military knowledge. If one of your soldiers has bone spurs and can't pass a PT test...what do you do? If one of your recruits in your training company is diagnosed with bone spurs...what is the procedure?

Let's see how much you know about our military.

No need to deflect. Just answer.

    Much appreciated

JFK also was found guilty of dereliction of duty during a Navy board of inquiry on the lost of PT-109.

Never leave your PT-boat out of gear when idling at night when sitting in the middle of the Southwestern Pacific.

You could get run over by a Jap destroyer.

I have no idea how the Army would deal with one of their soldiers who was found to have developed bobespurs. I will defer to you on that. However in Trumps case he wasn’t diagnosed with bonespurs by the US Army. A podiatrist who rented his office from Fred Trump wrote a letter for Donny as a favor to his rich daddy. After Trump had already wangled 5 deferments he managed to get himself out of serving for good as a result of that letter. Trump admits this.

Yep, but at least he had the guts to go out and risk his ass for his country. Trump weaseled out any way he could for 6 years.

The vast majority of the worlds citizen soldiers only want to fight the big wars.

The Second World War was the big war.

    Ok...then I'll make this easier.

If you want to enlist in the military (any branch) and you have bone spurs...are you getting a waiver?

I know how the Marine Corps deals with bone spurs. As soon as a recruit or a Marine is discovered to have a bone spur in the heel of the foot they are fast tracked ASAP discharged from the service with a 15% VA disability claim.

If there are two bone spurs in each foot, the taxpayers get stuck for paying for a 30% VA disability.

No disability claim for flat feet.
Having flat feet even today will get you rejected from military service depending how flat your feet are.

My father served in the Pacific theatre during WW ll with the Marine Corps.

My father didn't considered the Vietnam War to be a real war.
Like most WW ll vets they looked at both the Korean War and the Vietnam War to be police actions.

My father changed his mind in 1972 a couple of years later after my tour of duty.

It took the VFW twenty more years before they changed their minds.

My father still said I should have joined the Navy, learn a real trade you can use in the civilian world.

I don’t know Soldier. You tell me. What if you don’t have bonespurs or other disqualifying conditions but you get a doctor to write you a note saying you do? What happens then? I know a few guys who did just that and got away with it and bragged about it for years after. Trump said his Vietnam was fighting his way through the herpes epidemic in New York City. Is it OK with you if I suggest that Trump was a less than patriotic draft dodger? Personally, I do not like the guy and enjoy ripping into him from time to time.

    FYI:

That's not the way it worked.

It was Army doctors who examined you at your draft classification exam not your family doctor.

If a soldier is not 100% for deployment, I'm not assigning- let alone paying for hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of training if they can't physically withstand it.

Which is why we have the standards we do now. It's a waste of time to take someone with conditions prior to enlistment. It wastes the military's money and it wastes the enlistee's time.

I would chapter anyone out that couldn't withstand a 12 mile ruck (bone spurs make it impossible to ruck).

If you want to spend all that money on people that can't withstand that due to medical issues, then you wouldn't be fit for Command. Which is why many Commanders in training bats are relieved.

That all makes perfect sense to me sir. What I am suggesting is that Trump got his old man to help him fake his way out of military service. I’d say, knowing the kind of guy Trump is, and the circumstances and time in which he was reclassified, there’s a damn good chance of that. I know personally that there was a lot of that going on at the time. I am not suggesting that I have irrefutable proof or insisting that he should be prosecuted. However given what I do know, it is my opinion that he faked his way out of serving.

What sources do you have that it was faked?

The daughters of the podiatrist who wrote the note say it was part of family lore that their father wrote the false report as a favor to Fred Trump. Wouldn’t hold up in court, but it’s good enough for me to trash him here on this forum.

Kennedy stole the 1960 election from Nixon. He was an illegitimate president who went on to probably spawn dozens of illegitimate children. Cool.

WW2 was a very different situation for the US than was lyin' blowhard LBJ's adventure expedition.

Can you cite these sources so we can verify your "claims"? Want to make sure there's actually evidence of this "faking".

Did the doctor provide the medical evidence to his daughters? What documentation is there?

Please provide the documentation so we can verify your claims.

Kennedy won both the popular and electoral college votes. He is recognized as one of our finest Presidents even though he was murdered in his first terms. Trump is a gutless draft dodging sissy boy. Are we clear now?

Trump has done a tremendous job undoing Obama's mis-steps and problems he caused. Obama wasn't even an American, and democrats were all ga-ga for him no matter what he did, just as they were for Kennedy. Whether Kennedy won became a contentious issue a couple years after the rigged results were in. By then, Kennedy was of course a rock star. https://www.newsweek.com/top-five-rigged-us-presidential-elections-511765
