    https://www.dailywire.com/news/4657...four-womens-powerlifting-amanda-prestigiacomo

This news story is about a trans woman (this a person who was born male and identifies as female) who competed in a powerlifting championship with other women. She won all nine events she competed in and she set for world records.

Clearly she's advantaged because she spent most of her life as a man biologically speaking.

So people fighting for women's equality what do you think about this do you think it's fair that person who is born male can transition and compete with people who are born female?

I personally would support the idea of transgender sporting leagues to keep the playing field level.

You think there will be enough transgender powerlifters, or wrestlers, or football players to support this league? Where is the revenue and viewership for such a small subset?

that would not be my problem.

When I played Sports there was no viewership. And the revenue generated was generated by fundraising.

I don't think it's fair to women for someone who is technically not a woman to dominate their sport.

Hey you picked the solution to the 'problem' Presumably you picked a plausible one that would actually solve some sort of problem. Yours really does not, because there will be no transgender league in powerlifting, because there are not enough players, viewers and sponsorship to create and sustain it. Come up with something better before you make a thread in which you suggest you have one. This idea is pretty much useless.

Why’s it on him to come up with anything for transgender athletes? If there’s a market for it, then so be it. What’s your alternative, continue to let women be disenfranchised by transgender athletes, who are physically stronger, faster, and have a natural advantage?

I don't care if trans people are able to participate in sports. It's not my problem.

this thread isn't about solving problems it's about discussion end how hard it is to start a trans league is not part of the discussion. So if you want to discuss that start a thread about it I probably won't post on it because I don't care.

It's a way to avoid the hard topic I brought up.

Yeah, you can expect some deflection, and real flat earther responses. I really love the whole “there’s no difference between the sexes” crowd.

Well the thing that gets me is what do feminists think? There is a group called trans exclusionary feminist. I find their position... Interesting.

How can you be woke and feminist but against trans women being considered biological women?

That's what I really posted this thread to discuss.

So I'm not going to entertain nonsense that has nothing to do with the thread.

I did not write a thread OP suggesting I had a solution I supported when really I don't.
You invited that 'part of the discussion' when you decided to support that crappy idea. Supporting a useless implausible and unrealistic idea, is not supporting anything so just say you don't support any viable alternative, but you oppose them competing in existing leagues. In other words, you can thank me for your above moment of honesty, because it sure wasn't coming out with your op.

You’re witnessing identity politics starting to devour itself, nothing more. It was only a matter of time. I can’t speak for feminist, but I’m sure they might be irked by the fact that biological males are disenfranchising females in sports.

I didn't either. I asked questions of feminists.

Solutions to your problems are not the topic of this thread.

So you didn’t read the OP, obviously.
Because, seeking a alternative wasn’t even a factor in the discussion.

So if this transgender league is 'nonsense' you did not intend to discuss, why did you bring it up in the OP?

There seems to be a rift in feminism over this.

"I personally would support the idea of transgender sporting leagues to keep the playing field level" who wrote those words and where were they located?

It was bound to happen. You can only deny facts, statistics, and science for so long, until there’s some sort of consequence.

Well it seems feminism has taken up partnerships with some strange bedfellow.

So keeping a sporting leagues on a level playing field is a crappy idea, in your opinion?
Ok, since you’re so determined to derail this thread, here’s a simple alternative.
Have biological males compete against biological males, and biological females compete against biological females. Wow, look at the rocket science behind that solution.

It would seem that way, but acknowledging basic truths tends to do that.

Well I have some views on feminism that are a little strange. I will hold off on them until we hear from some feminists about the actual subject. Mostly because I don't want to turn this into an argument about feminism.

I am interested in the line of discussion promoted by the author of the OP in his thread. I know that what is there is not off-topic, because the author, who I normally give deference to on what he expects to discuss, included it as part of his own introductory paragraph to the topic . Now I realize that you no longer want to discuss it, because it embarrasses you, and makes you feel foolish for ever writing the sentence, but that is not my problem. I discussed what is in the OP, namely transgender sport leagues.
